    About Me

    I am a licensed music teacher, singer and music theorist with fifteen years of experience and I offer private singing lessons in my studio, online or at your home. I have a bachelor's degree in vocal performance from the Petrie School of Music, a master's degree in music theory and composition from the Cincinnati Conservatory (CCM), and a master's degree in music education from Case Western Reserve University.

    I address students in all styles of singing (pop, rock, classical, belt, etc.) focusing above all on the development of healthy foundations of breathing and body awareness! These things are essential for longevity of vocal health and strengthening your sound with good habits. I build my students' self-confidence as artists and musicians and offer them techniques to combat stage fright. I also teach dramatic expression through singing. By this I mean ways to connect organically with song lyrics to give memorable performances and to use music as a healthy way to express emotions even if you're not performing in public!

    Additionally, if you are interested in reading music, sight singing, piano chords, or some aspect of songwriting, I am also qualified to teach music theory and composition. As a self-proclaimed electronic music nerd, I can walk you through some of the basics of sound design and music production with my synthesizer, looper, and drum machine. :)

    I teach all ages, levels and voice types. I consider myself a well-rounded music teacher and look forward to working with you in my studio, online or at your home depending on distance.
