I am a native Spanish speaker holding a Bachelor's degree in TEFL and a Master in Italian language. I've started my degree in the prestigious University of Granada in Spain and completed it in Cambridge, UK.
I have been teaching since I am 18, to all levels, for all different kind of specific purposes, obtaining great results.
Teaching is my vocation and my passion!
Lessons will be tailored and personalised, we won't follow a book. I always create my own materials depending on what my students need, current level, objective that we need to reach and learning style. This is very important as every person is different. We can't apply the same method to two completely different people.

I am a translator so the class is for students at any level. I have also experience in preparing and taking official exams like the TOEFL, Cambridge and Trinity College with excellent results. This class is for children or adults who wish to learn my magnificent language in Spanish with a native teacher or who wish to learn French since I was a student during all my schooling in a French school.

You will be guided in all the needed aspects of the language, from grammar to sounds, from typical sentence structure to useful tips in Italian culture which can come in handy during a typical conversation.

I've already given Italian lessons back in Italy for foreign people with amazing results and I'm ready to repeat this experience here in Utrecht too :D
Lessons can be provided both in English and/or French

Spanish and English teaching or tutoring for any level. Both are in the top spoken languages in the world and have become essential for good communication and blurring cultural boundaries.

Spanish is my official native language but I went to an American school during my entire education which means I speak both fluently. My goal is to keep students motivated while learning or improving their use of a new language.

You can learn the basics of Spanish and English. The class can also be focused on specific subjects depending on the students level: whether they need more practice in speech or grammar; or their desire to learn something specific. I can help with everything from the alphabet to being able to write an essay or taking an exam.

My language lessons are always tailored to the student. I provide interaction, the pupil will be encouraged from the start to experiment with the Dutch language, always within the pupil's own perception of the world, so that what is learned is placed in a personal context and automatically supplemented with elements that are specific to the pupil.
I have a number of fine methodologies at my disposal, but I also work with ease with material that the pupil has brought from school or from home, or else will select material to measure.
I have been teaching Dutch as a second language for 20 years and have a master's degree in education with a specialization in learning disabilities.

So far, I have been carrying out 3 different types of lessons:

(a) just conversation:
Here, the student prepares 5-6 different topics for the lesson, and prepares a document with the topics and short paragraph about each topic. This way, the student can start looking at the vocabulary for the topic before the lesson. Usually, the student sends this document by email 24 hours before the planned lesson. When we start the lesson, the first few minutes are just a few questions, small talk about the last few days and what is going on at the moment. Then, we move to the topics. Each topic takes approximately 10 minutes (more or less, depending on the content). For each topic, the student first introduces the topic and what they know about it so far, then we discuss the issue, I ask some content questions or questions about your views on this subject, etc. These discussions are very helpful for conversation, sentence fluency, and vocabulary development.
When the student makes a mistake in grammar, sentence, or word choice, I correct them and help them understand their mistakes. Usually, each student has a little notebook where they note down their mistakes or new words and phrases that they have learnt. During the following lesson, I may ask a few questions about the topics from the previous lesson, in order to refresh the student's memory regarding their previous mistakes and new vocabulary.

(b) conversation and description:
This is the same as the conversation type (a) above, but there are only 3 topics and it lasts approximately 35-40 minutes. The second half of the lesson is prepared by me. I send a document with 3-5 pictures. The student describes what they see, using position vocabulary, descriptive words, and tried to interpret what is going on in the picture. This is also very good for language development and verbal fluency. After the student finished describing as well as they can, I will describe in a little bit more depth, to make sure that all new words and phrases are mentioned. During following lesson, the first 10 minutes of the second part of the lesson (for picture description) are for a short reviewing of last lesson's pictures, refreshing memory and making sure all words are understood and well-used.

(c) conversation and writing:
This is the same as the conversation type (a) above, but the last 15 minutes are focused on writing skills. Usually, we look at different writing styles such as formal versus casual, a typical formal email, a typical friendly email, how to ask for help, etc.

Of course, lesson types can changes as often as you want! Some of my students had the first lessons in style (c), and then we switched to one in style (a) and one in style (b).

I am also very flexible in terms of what you want to do and what you prefer as a student!
