Berklee College of Music Graduate offers private lessons of Guitar, Harmony & Improvisation in Utrecht
The way I teach actually depends entirely on the student. The way I explain the concepts, plan and structure the lessons and approach each subject all depends on whether the student is a beginner, intermediate or advanced, and whether he or she has some experience on the subject. Each student has different needs and different abilities. It's just a matter of getting to know the student, in order to identify both the weaknesses and strengths on which to work.
Singing lessons in various styles & beginner music theory lessons
Singing lessons for all levels and age. For beginners, together we can discover the range of your voice and build the breathing and singing technique. At the same time we will work on music theory, ear training and how to read a score. For mature singers, we can delve into the singing technique and interpretation and add pieces in your repertoire. The lessons are provided both online and in person and can be held in English or Greek. I also speak some Italian and German. About me I have been playing the piano for 15 years. I have studied Classical Singing in the Municipal Conservatory of Kalamata (Greece) and I have followed a two-year Early Music Programme in Athens Conservatoire. At the same time I studied Music Theory (Harmony) at the Greek National Conservatoire from which I gained my Harmony degree. In addition, I have a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Currently, I am a first year master student at the Utrechts Conservatorium. I have participated in Operas (“Julius Cesar”- 2015 in Athens Concert Hall and “Alcina”-2019 in Odeon of Herodes Atticus) as a member of a vocal ensemble and I have performed as a soloist in many concerts in both student and professional contexts.
Piano playing, Music Theory, Compose your own music
I am an experienced music teacher with studies at LCM (London College of Music) system, HKU Conservatory of Utrecht and BMus graduate of ArtEZ Conservatory in Zwolle. I have teaching experience with children from 4 years old and adult beginners as well. I offer private lessons for music theory and piano. I have followed specific lessons for psychology and pedagogics for teachers. My lessons include piano practise and theory. My approach is artistic, creative and always based to the needs of each individual student. Every student takes the time needed according to his level and age. Even from the very first lessons, we will start playing music! I believe playing and experiencing how fun music can be is really important to keep the fun in the class, for that reason I use music fragments and even duets for all my students.

Singing Lessons - Singing Technique - Music Theory - Songwriting
Hi! My name is Marie and I study Jazz/Pop singing at the Utrecht Conservatory. In my lessons, we will show your strengths even more and explore what you need to overcome your vocal obstacles. Singing is something that everyone has and can develop. It's a unique way to express yourself creatively and tell a story and I want to ensure that in my classes. Every genre is welcome with me: Jazz and improvisation, Pop, R&B, Soul, Musical and Cabaret, you name it. Or do you want to learn to write music yourself? I can certainly help you with this as well. I also have the necessary theater experience with which I can teach you a lot about text interpretation and performance techniques. That way you can fully experience the music and transfer this feeling to your audience. Have an important audition coming up? I am happy to help you with music theory lessons.

Enjoy the music - flute, recorder or theory lessons
Do you or your child want to play the flute? Or to learn how enjoyable can it be? You are most welcome! Learning to play the instrument is an opportunity to enter the world of music and become a musician. More importantly, you learn the joy of creating music by yourself. I invite beginners as well as children or adults who have already had some experiences with playing and want to develope their skills. I invite beginners, children and adults, as well as experienced players, to develop their skills. I also offer lessons for duos or trios – two or three different recorders, flute and piano or guitar, or two flutes. In this case, we focus on the skills needed for ensemble playing and less on individual technique, so this option is not for absolute beginners. The cost per person for ensemble lessons will be lower. How does a lesson with me look like? It depends on your level and what we focus on, but we will certainly do some preparatory exercises. You will present what you have been preparing since last time, and we will work on some details. If there is time, we shall then try something new. We can also play duos together. A lesson last about an hour, or 45 minutes for younger pupils. I can adjust the repertoire to your preferences, to your needs and to your level, but I shall also encourage you to learn some new and unfamiliar styles. I like to use notated music in the process of learning, so that in the future you will feel comfortable about reading music, but we can also sometimes improvise, or play something you remember without notation. Along the way, you will learn some music theory, which is necessary part of becoming a musician. I also offer music theory lessons alone, if you wish.
Piano , Music Theory , ORFF lessons (specialized on the classical music)
I am a 25 year old Greek pianist and I have been living in the Netherlands for the last couple of years. I started teaching children and adults individually as well as in groups 8 years ago. According to your preferences we can create a lesson structure which combines technique and theory (chords, scales, harmony) but also repertoire that you enjoy and love. It is really important to be able to maintain your skills but enjoy the music the most as well . I can happily tailor the lessons to suit your skill level and personal taste ! Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions .
Guitar and Music Theory for Beginners and Intermediates
Guitar playing is a fantastic skill, and is passed down from generation to generation. I have been playing since I was a child, and studied music for 5 years, up to masters level. My classes focus on orienting beginners and intermediate level guitarists in repertoire, theory application, and musicianship. The classes run for 2 hours and are taught in English. First we will assess your current ability and what your goals are, and then we can make a roadmap to get you where you want to be in a reasonable time frame. I usually set one piece of homework each lesson. I like to use Sibelius First (totally free software!) to share score sheets and activities with my students.
Guitar lessons with a focus on playing technique, sound and applied theory
I want to base my lessons on playing the guitar and related instruments in a way that feels mastered and personal. I therefore want to focus on expression, technique and the aurally malleable nature of the instrument, for example by discussing extended techniques and the use of effect pedals. I want to invite the students to learn to listen carefully to the impact of different playing techniques and audio effects. During the lessons I want to cover different kinds of music theory, especially in an "applied" way that is valuable to the student. I also want to deal with recording and producing my own work. Owning your own effects pedals, a guitar amplifier or recording equipment is not required for this course.

Classical percussion and Drums lessons. Marimba, Vibraphone, Xylophone, Timpani, Snare drum and Drums in a lot of musical genres 🥁
I am a classical percussionist and a drummer, with many years of teaching and playing experience. I completed a Bachelor and a Master course in classical percussion in Italy, now I am studying a Master in Jazz & Pop drums at the HKU in Utrecht. I have an excellent knowledge of musical theory due to my studies and I love teaching because sharing my passion with others is important to me. I have experience teaching many students, between the ages of 5 and 50, since I was 18. I taught in two music schools, led projects in kindergartens and gave percussion instrument lessons in high schools. I trained students as percussionists in two school orchestras. Additionally, I used to write and produce learning materials with my students, to encourage accessible learning. My main teaching objective is to help students to find their personal way of playing and studying, without forgetting the most important thing; having fun. I understand that music should be fun, and those students not having fun will not get the best results. I usually start my lesson with the basics such as reading music, holding sticks and posture. I evaluate the student’s strengths and weaknesses, allowing them to reflect and evoke healthy self-criticism, to help them improve with a positive attitude. I always try to inspire my students, and at the same time I am inspired by them, as by playing music together we can learn a lot from each other. Whilst my students have learned a lot from me, likewise, I have learned a lot from my students and this has been very valuable to my development. I believe I would be an asset to you, because I am a flexible, open minded, experienced teacher.
Piano, Music Theory and Ear Training lessons for all ages/levels
Music lessons can be productive and fun if planned and organized according to the needs and desires of every different student. Upon the first meeting with each student it is important to discuss the long term goals in order to have a clear view and plan the following lessons accordingly. Based on the student's background, lessons can be adjusted to different levels, music genres and repertoire. The ideal lesson would always include practical, as well as, theoretical knowledge in order to boost your skills but also be able to express yourself through it.
