About Me
Tere!My name is Conor and I'm a University of Oxford graduate and marketing professional from the United Kingdom.
After completing my degree, I decided to take a leap of faith and move to Tallinn. Although it was a big change for me, I was drawn to the city's vibrant culture and its thriving tech industry. I've been living here for a few months now, and I've loved exploring everything that Tallinn has to offer.
One of the things I appreciate most about living here is the sense of community. I've met so many interesting people, both locals and expats, and I've had the opportunity to learn about Estonian history and culture. Despite the challenges of adapting to a new country, I feel grateful to have had the chance to broaden my horizons and discover new perspectives.
I'm passionate about education and ensuring people can reach their full potential. I look forward to meeting you and helping you reach your academic goals.
Feel free to message me with any questions :)
Aitäh,
Conor
Education
I grew up in Cheshire, England where I completed my GCSEs and A-levels. After finishing my secondary education, I decided to pursue my passion for history and enrolled at Pembroke College, University of Oxford, where I studied for four years, graduating in 2021.Experience / Qualifications
University: BA History (Hons), Pembroke College, University of Oxford.A-Levels: History, Government & Politics, and Economics
The term "Oxbridge" is a collective term that refers to the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, the two oldest, wealthiest, and most exclusive educational establishments in the United Kingdom. Both are regularly listed amongst the top universities in the world and entry is correspondingly difficult. The notoriously tough process consists of personal statements, references, interviews, aptitude tests and more.
As a recent graduate of the University of Oxford, I am well-versed with the admissions process and have personally experienced the challenges and requirements of gaining admission to these universities. Furthermore, my successful academic background in the humanities has given me a strong foundation to guide students through the rigorous academic expectations that they will encounter when they arrive at their dream university.
I am passionate about helping students reach their academic goals. In my time at Oxford, I was an active member of the access community which sought to mentor prospective students. As part of that, I worked with students of all abilities from all over the United Kingdom, providing seminars, lectures, mock interviews and coaching. I was particularly praised for my teaching style and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
Whilst I offer a structured course for those who want it, which covers the most important aspects of the application process, my tutoring service is bespoke and I am available to provide individual sessions focusing on the areas of your choice. Each session is tailored to the needs of my students. Whether you require the A-Z course, or individual lessons, I will collaborate with the student to devise a plan of action that will give them the best chance to meet their goals.
The Course:
The Oxford Entrance Preparation Course is designed to prepare students for the rigorous admissions processes of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. It aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and guidance to support them in their applications. Students will gain a deep understanding of the universities, the application process, and what it is like to study at Oxbridge.
The course will focus on the key academic and personal qualities that Oxford looks for in its applicants, and how students can develop and showcase these qualities.
Requirements:
There are few specific prerequisites for this course, but students should have a good command of the English language, a genuine interest in attending the Universities of Oxford or Cambridge, and a passion for studying. It is recommended that students have a very strong academic background, but a good academic background does not necessarily exclude the student from making a successful application.
N.b. I cannot guarantee that you or your child will get accepted into Oxbridge (this is subjective and, every year, thousands of deserving students make unsuccessful attempts) but we'll work together to make sure you stand the greatest possible chance of making a successful application.

Empires of Epidemics: Disease History and Its Influence on Modern Life
From the Black Death to COVID-19, epidemics have done more than spread illness — they’ve reshaped societies, restructured power, accelerated science, and transformed how we live. In this personalized, one-on-one course, we’ll examine the global history of disease and uncover how outbreaks have built and broken systems across time.
Using primary sources, historical documents, visual media, propaganda, art, and medical texts, we’ll explore how different societies understood, feared, fought disease, and what those responses can teach us about the modern world.
Each lesson focuses on a specific disease or pandemic, such as:
- The Black Death and early public health
- The Spanish Flu and wartime censorship
- Cholera, sanitation, and the modern city
- Tuberculosis and the romanticization of illness
- HIV/AIDS, activism, and inequality
- COVID-19 in historical perspective
What you’ll gain:
- A deeper understanding of disease as a force in world history
- Tools to analyze historical sources and narratives
- Connections between past and present public health responses
- Insight into how memory, fear, and resilience shape our collective story
This course is ideal for students of history, public health, or anyone curious about how disease has helped build — and challenge — the modern world.
