I have been playing chess since 1985. My dad quit playing me in 1988 when he was never able to win again. Chess is the most classic strategy game of all time.

If you want to learn how to play chess I can teach you. If you are able to beat me then you graduate the class. I doubt you ever will, but I would be very happy for you if you could. My goal will be to teach you to put me out of a job.

Then you will be able to say:

"I've been waiting for you, [Kenneth]. We meet at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you I was but the learner, now I am the master."
(Anakin to Obi-Wan, Star Wars IV: A New Hope, 1977)

About Me
I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the 1980s before the internet and cell phones. This is back when we had three television channels, not counting the Public Broadcasting Station. We played outside and appreciated things like chess or other board games.

I mastered Chess primarily at age five on an IBM personal home computer system using a 5.25 inch floppy disk. Those skills have never left me.

I am a laid-back, easy going person. For the past 20 years I have been working with youth as a Social Service Worker since 2005 and now as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2014.

I am happy to teach you how to play chess. I hope you can learn to enjoy it as much as I always have ever since I was a kid.
Education
I graduated from the following schools and programs:
La Cueva High School -1999
Brigham Young University: Bachelor of Science in Social Work -2005
University of Utah: Master of Social Work -2011
Fully licensed clinical social worker -2014
I maintain my clinical social work license and work more than full time during the week
Experience / Qualifications
I have been playing chess the past 40 years. I am a patient and strategic thinker and plan my moves in advance usually 3-7 moves ahead depending on the opponent.
