Hello. I am a British Qualified English school teacher,(PGCE English and Sports- Cheltenham University) and a qualified teacher of English as a Foreign Language (CELTA) , with 20 years of experience teaching, mentoring and coaching adults, college students and children.
I believe a good teacher finds how to motivate students, and develop their confidence when working towards a set of clear targets and goals.. Everyone learns differently, and as an experienced teacher, I can help you reach your objectives, in a relaxed and convivial environment.
The key to learning is that it should be fun - I offer stimulating lessons that will enable you to progress more quickly, and, follow-up with additional personal work that assists in areas of weakness, or further challenges you on specific points. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

I believe that you learn best when you are relaxed, and are interested and engaged.
I am clear, consistent and organised in terms of lesson planning and execution, and encourage students at all times to maximise their time speaking during lessons, and give linked follow -up activities for their personal work.

I believe it's important to make mistakes... it's only by doing this we can learn how to correct and improve our abilities.

In my free time I enjoy skiing, walking in the mountains and swimming. I like cooking, photography, listening to music and travelling. At the moment I am trying to learn about web design. For my next big holiday I would love to go on a safari, and locally I would like to learn how to sail...

Experiencia / Calificaciones

I have worked in English schools as a teacher of students aged 8-18. I have taught English to University students, and adults in a range of contexts: preparing for IELTS exams, Business English, English for Tourism from beginners to advanced students. I have worked with the Chambre of Commerce, but also have operated as an Independent teacher for over 10 years.
I have travelled extensively, and taught English in Thailand and Spain, before moving to France in 2003.
I am fully experienced in assessing and evaluating levels of English in accordance with the CECR. I am currently setting up mini-groups locally for children at Primaire, College and Lycee.
