This class is for all aspiring authors who would love to see their own book in print and to develop a passion for creative writing. I will take each student through the whole creative process of producing a book from the initial brainstorming of ideas, to storyboarding, writing, editing, illustration (if desired) and publication. As a prolific children’s author and illustrator, I specialise in empowering others to write and celebrate their creative talents through the books they produce. I have many years experience in publishing books for other people. This class can be tailored to both children and adults.

InDesign is a desktop publishing and page layout software application. It can be used to create works such as posters, flyers, brochures, magazines, newspapers, presentations, books and eBooks, but it is capable of much more. It is the industry-leading layout and page design software for print and digital media. Use it to create publications, books, and types of print and layout projects. Further, the tool has started to be more commonly used for some digital design projects as well including PDFs, slideshows, banner ads, social media images, or YouTube preview tiles You will learn layouts, visual language, and the importance of grids in graphic design. By the end of the lesson, you will know how to create a poster and export it for printing.

A committed and dynamic artist offers original private lessons to guide your artistic projects. All levels are welcome, and multiple practices are encouraged: from drawing to painting, from engraving to bookbinding, through writing or sculpture. These multiple languages will allow you to give what you wish to express the ideal form and depth for its realization. I am a graduate of the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, as well as of the Book School Estienne - both in Paris - and I have been practicing my art in parallel to teaching it for 6 years now, between Paris, Basel and Strasbourg. Techniques and mediums (non exhaustive list): Drawing, painting (acrylic, gouache, watercolor), etching on zinc, copper or Plexiglas, linocut, monotype, sculpture, fanzine, bookbinding, folding, collage...
