As a vocal coach, I understand that it is important to develop a good vocal technique but also to develop self-confidence and mastery of oneself in order to be able to deliver the best of oneself in any situation. I deal with students of all levels and ages. I explore with them different musical fields according to their desires and affinities. My classes are a mix of technique, improvisation and practice. I really like the practice to include an element of interactivity with my students and so that they are able to come out of my lessons with mastered pieces, in their own way. Indeed, I also like to take the time to research with my students their own inner voices and talents so that they really find themselves artistically speaking; a kind of musical inner journey. Hello everyone ! I am 39 years old, I am a professional guitarist and graduate composer. My rich and varied musical journey, going from "Art Rock" to Classic, passing by French song and currently jazz allowed me to acquire a beautiful experience that I like to share with my students. Obviously passionate about my favorite instrument, I am just as passionate about music theory. From baroque counterpoint to jazz harmony, from classical orchestration to digital music publishing, I have always thought that understanding the sound universe multiplies perspectives, opens up new horizons! When you are writing music, it is very important that you show your music to people. Someone with experience in composition, even better. It is sometimes difficult to take that step to show your pieces that you have worked hard on. But this is a very important step, it makes you more confident in your own piece. From then on, people can receive feedback and evolve further. In my lessons, I work mainly on structure and learning to compose. If necessary, I will also work on details, but first the idea and the form have to be right. Composing is an evolution and I myself am getting better every year. To compose better, thorough music theory is also important. Just as you can express yourself better with more vocabulary, you can write better music and translate your idea into notes better with more music knowledge. The importance of this is often underestimated. For me, music theory (all the basic knowledge but especially harmony and counterpoint) go hand in hand.

MY METHOD Depending on your musical desire, your request, your theoretical needs, together we will establish a learning method that suits you, at the pace that suits you. I can advise you on composition in different styles of music (jazz, pop, classical, song, instrumental music). General theory, harmony, style, editions of scores. Max is a visual programming language to create audio (and video) art. Almost like with LEGO, you connect different building blocks with each other and create an audio (or video) circuit. I have years of experience in making programs in Max and want to share this knowledge. I start from the basics and make sure that the programming is also theoretically substantiated: I want you not only to put something in, but also to understand why something works. That extra knowledge helps you work faster as you move forward. For a program that focuses more on audio, I use Ableton. I have been using this program for my own music production for about ten years and know the program inside out.

One-to-one music lessons inspired by the teachings of Suzuki, Havas, Hoppenot, and Galway. The lessons are adjusted according to age, level, and interests. The most important is that the student will learn in an enjoyable way for them. It is only possible to take 45 min. lessons when the student receives more than one lesson a week -which is highly recommended for anyone that might want to become a professional musician. Lessons longer than an hour are also possible for anyone over 14 years old. Other possibilities, a combination of instrumental/theory lessons and prices can be discussed.

I have been practicing the violin for over 20 years, I have studied classical music throughout my studies and then studied electronic music and improvisation. At the same time, I studied music theory until I obtained my diploma. I am self-taught regarding the Ableton software but I have been using it for 8 years now and know it perfectly I adapt to each desire, each request and of course at each level!

And if the students wish, I can help them to prepare for the ABRSM exams and competitions as well. All this is aiming to achieve in a very practical and exciting experience the best results in the fastest way possible. But if the profile and the interests of the students goes on another way, I will give them all the tools they need to understand the language of music in depth, so they can find their own voice on the instrument. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician. For many people improvisation is a scary word and having to improvise in a group or band is an alarming prospect. However, this really does not need to be the case. As long as you have a basic knowledge of how to play your instrument you will be able to improvise. Once you know the principle of how chords are formed you will soon be improvising with ease. If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice. On the other hand if you play in a band or a group you will be well equipped to do a real 'jam' session. Whether you play a single line instrument (flute, saxophone, trumpet, violin etc.) or keyboard instruments, this class is for you.
