I am English a speaking native from Cape Town, South Africa. I also hold a teaching degree, specializing in English and Mathematics. I would love to help your journey to becoming proficient in not only speaking and reading but also understanding the English language.

I have experience teaching ages from 9 - 17 and enjoy the challenge of understanding new ways of learning. Lessons will be fun, making sure we tap into different parts of the learning journey and encouraging self-learning along the way! Reach out to discuss more!

I am an experienced teacher of two years, with an additional 5 years of tutoring experience. I currently work as a consultant, however, my love my learning and helping others learn has never stopped. I am constantly looking for new opportunities to help those around me to improve.

I believe in building genuine relationships with my pupils, ensuring they understand what is required of them but also so I know what is required of me. Trust and respect go a long way with me, and when these are shown (after being earned), it allows for fun and educational times!

I hold a Bachelor of Education degree, from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa, with English and Mathematics being my two majors. Throughout my degree I taught for 3 months a year as a student teacher and covered English and Mathematics for grade 4 - 9.

This accomplishment inspired me to turn my passion into a mission, becoming an English teacher to support students eager to learn.

For the past three years, I have been volunteering as an English teacher in a non-profit organization, teaching both beginner-level students starting from scratch and intermediate levels (B1-B2).
