Workshop poetry for everyone. Singer songwriting.

Translated by Google. Click to view original.
In the Poetry workshop you will learn the basics of writing poetry. The form, the content and the theme are widely discussed.
But we also discuss the history of literature, we pay attention to reading, and we analyze poems.

After this workshop you will be able to write poems in a convincing way.

For my poetry, below is a review by Hans Franse in Meander.

EXTENDED

The sun so exuberant and the people
the nakedness of the trees and the thaw
the coming of spring and the prey

of a seagull in the shining river
boats in the harbor and a wind keyboard
under a deck of steel-grey clouds

the people delighted and the trees
on melodious streets and the quay
the glamorous sparkle of the glass

in blue storefronts God's grace
the people one on their exuberant terrace

Somehow this poem reminds me of Marsman in music and rhythm 'and in the floodplains / the horses gallop / with billowing tails / over billowing grass'. Every now and then I seem to recognize JC Bloem's gloomy outlook on life, but those are compliments.
In summary, I think this collection is very readable. They are well-constructed and musically formed poems that sometimes conceal a strong social feeling through a mild irony. It seems to me that the poet suffers from this world, that he seeks the "entrance of heaven." Perhaps the poet also suffers as a Brabander in Amsterdam: no greater contrast than a warm Brabant village pub and the Hoppe café on Spuistraat. A beautiful book, beautifully arranged. After an initial hesitation about a melancholy that I mistakenly regarded as negativity, which I recognized too late, I read it with great pleasure and sometimes emotion.

Due to my more than twenty years of experience as a professional musician, I master both the theoretical and the performing (stage) part. During my lessons I coach you to become a stage artist. But perhaps you prefer to write songs in your attic; no problem, I'm a singer-songwriter and can guide you in this. If you have few basic qualifications, I will also help you on the right track within a few months, so that you can finally play your favorite songs yourself.

Communication Training (Professional / Personal) & Public Speaking
Whether your goal is personal or professional, speaking is a predominantly physical activity, relying on a body, a voice, a breath, a rhythm (diction) and an emotion (the imagination and the sensations, reflecting the involvement of the speaker in his speech. How to send a clear message? How to make the difference, to make an impression? How to regain self-confidence and control the management of his emotions? Knowing how to speak in public is now a necessity for the company and in the company. From a personal point of view, this is a vector for better relationships and optimal messages. On the phone, in a meeting, in front of a client or a banker (...), your public speaking must be effective and efficient with clear, simple and powerful messages, creating a match between the message received and the message sent. Simple and pragmatic tools will be presented and then put into practice for: generating listening ● making an impression ● fostering trust ● generating need ● motivating teams by explaining a strategy ● getting messages across within groups. Controlled, the method allows: • improve self-confidence and stress management with the development of the speaker's fluency (verbal-bodily), his public speaking and his sense of repartee and improvisation • to work on his ease, leadership, his NLP, his charisma, his creativity and to go towards a certain personal development, through a set of scenarios * improve the characteristics of the spoken voice (timbre, pitch, intention, flow) Completed by basic exercises (diction, voice, presence, breathing, presentation, time management ...), role plays, improvisations and simulations will be set up. With the key words: pronunciation, rhetoric, verbal and non-verbal communication, diction / articulation, the sense of repartee, structured speech (...). The goal is not only to focus on verbal communication but also on nonverbal communication, so as to make the control of his body, his voice (...), a real and lasting strength. Depending on the interaction between the trainer - coach and the one who consults, there is no single way to operate: each type of session depends on the needs and difficulties of each. In all cases, it is very often a question, while adapting to your own needs and after having precisely diagnosed your desired objective and the blockages encountered, to combine the theory (the bases of the studied concept, for example NLP / information asymmetry / the "how to say no" / the tools of non-verbal communication or the application of kinaesthesia) and its application (through exercises and direct applications). For example, are discussed: - the fundamentals of public speaking: breathing, gaze and body language - diction and elocution: rhythm and range of your voice - management of your emotions and your emotional overflow (example: stress) - work on the body, to amplify your charisma and ensure consistency between your message and your body ... with the aim of: * Enhance your presentation and arouse interest by focusing on your strengths, your qualities ... your personality * Match the content and form of your message * Improve your charisma, your self-confidence and the benefits of your emotional intelligence Postgraduate School Training & Ivy league college in the United States, specialized and worked for over 13 years, in Europe and North America, in the field of communication and public speaking in renowned public and private international institutions, involved in forums and conferences, and focused on two areas: training and coaching, with the key words pedagogy and careful methodology. PLACES - Locations: Geneva - Lausanne - Friborg - Neuchâtel - Montreux - Basel - Sion - Sierre - Morges - Bienne. But currently and until further notice, only by videoconference in accordance with national recommendations on Covid. These sessions also seem to be perfectly unanimous since they have the advantages of live (example: quality of the interaction), without its disadvantages (example: loss of travel time) with additional advantages (example: notes that can be re-read on the chat). In this context, the videoconference sessions for which you asked me to seem to suit everyone perfectly, take place very optimally and generate a certain enthusiasm (and a certain enthusiasm). That is why, at your request, I continue to offer this option. Take good care of yourself and yours! PROGRAM A la carte program: evaluated and adapted to each need.

Coherence between form and content. ➤ So, how to listen and be listened to, convince and be impactful, challenge and make an impression, enhance your content, address your audience effectively and optimize the quality & clarity of the exchange / message? It is precisely a question of going through, applying and deploying practical and effective techniques of oral presentation, of simple intervention or of 'one to one` exchange, aiming to challenge your audience or interlocutor, by taking care of the substance as well as the form. , all in a professional or personal context. For this, there are verbal and non-verbal communication techniques. ➤ Thus, mastered, the practical method allows, through a set of simulations and scenarios based on your daily experience supporting pragmatic & concrete techniques, to improve self-confidence, self-assurance, ease by overcoming discomfort and controlling his emotion in public. But also to work on your leadership & charisma, in a context where empathy and emotional intelligence are at the service of communication. ➤ So, in this context, after having precisely defined your objective & gone through the blockages encountered, here are some examples of themes covered through concrete techniques & a targeted methodology: ✓Practical tools to perfect your rhetoric/repartee ✓Decode and use the practical communication tools of great leaders ✓Fundamentals (practices) of eloquence but also of public speaking (intonation, gaze, gestures, elocution, range, emotions, pronunciation, development of one's own style of charisma) to ensure consistency between substance & form ✓Fundamentals of Body Language to support and not interfere with the speech while being convinced & convincing. ✓ Highlighting their speech & promoting their speaking to arouse interest, by building on their strengths. ✓Creation of a coherence between the message emitted & the message received in order to improve its speech and in fact, its professional/personal relations. ✓Management of Q&A sessions & external reactions during an intervention or an oral exchange. ✓Practical tools to put your interlocutor at ease and appear friendly/interested. ✓To succeed in a negotiation/mediation. ✓On the one hand, learning to say 'no' simply in three steps AND on the other hand, getting people to say 'yes'. ✓To turn sentences into positive AND constructive. ✓To manage conflicts (eg 'assertive' communication techniques, eg CNV techniques - Non Violent Communication). ✓To put NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) at the service of communication. ✓To adopt effective, simple, fair and engaging language. ✓To use sentences, turns of phrase & expressions allowing to be precise, simple, effective & challenging. ✓To manage your personal & professional relationships with, for example, the preparation of your ratings. ✓Make your hypersensitivity a strength to tame your abilities. ✓Listening proactively and expressing / conveying ideas / message clearly. ✓ Avoid letting your emotions show through and propose a constructive solution to problems, while drawing on your own relational skills. ✓Be better equipped to recognize and immediately remedy situations that weaken their authority and affect their ability to communicate effectively. ✓Enhance their potential for expression and creativity (often underestimated until now) and 'apparent' sociability ✓Develop not necessarily self-confidence, but the 'appearance' of self-confidence, refine one's listening to respond adequately, open up to the resources of the imagination, free oneself from the rational to then structure one's speech. ✓Relate their communication objectives (project, institution, values, ideas, demands, etc.) to the form of their expression. ✓Learn and put into practice persuasive communication techniques and better understand the perception that others have of oneself. In order to improve his skills of 'self-presentation' and conveyed image. ✓Practical techniques to foster the engagement of the other party. ✓Strengthen the structure of its communication and develop a convincing argument in order to sell its ideas and projects. (...) ➤ To master the keys to successful public communication, it is necessary to strengthen the impact of your speeches: by structuring your interventions and taking into account the circumstances and the expectations of the public; by making an impact through storytelling; integrating the psychological and emotional factors of effective oral communication; by integrating emotions into the preparation of the message and arguments; anticipating objections and delicate situations; by preparing and structuring an attractive and convincing presentation framework; by experimenting with the rules of improvisation; by adequately managing difficult situations (...). ➤ In short, each session combines techniques & practical exercises adapted to your daily situations (filmed with your agreement in order to be reviewed, commented on, decoded together live), so that you can apply them immediately, and from the 1st session. Elise
French private lessons by university graduate in Letters
Holder of a Master's degree in Letters and endowed with a solid experience in private lessons, I provide French lessons for students wishing to: - consolidate their bases in grammar, spelling - improve their language skills (allophone students) - improve their speaking skills (conversation classes) -profect the written expression - prepare for ECR exams - prepare for the written examinations at the end of the studies (maturity, certificate of completion) - help with the writing of works of maturity (or other works of end of studies), of dissertation - work on argumentative texts - acquire a method to analyze literary texts - learn how to perform bibliographic research The course material is a Google Docs document that I create in which my explanations, possible links, exercises appear. By reading it regularly, progress will be faster. It can also be used in addition to other documents (files printed by school teachers and/or books) and has many advantages: automatic updating, downloadable on tablets and smartphones, simultaneous monitoring of what is writing. For help with writing: The objective is above all to acquire effective tools. The student will thus be able to learn to structure his ideas, argue coherently (and convincingly) and enrich his vocabulary. It is essential for me to have written work from the student between each lesson. For analyzes of oral literary texts: In order to optimize the time available (and to put ourselves in conditions closest to oral exams), we choose together an extract from a work that the student will have previously prepared before the lesson. This would take around 20 minutes at most, and ideally just a little before the meeting time. If necessary, I have the habit of taking a paragraph at random which would serve as a basis for analyzing a passage. For the corrections of end of studies work: so that the meeting with the student is at the most profitable, I ask him to send me his writings before the meeting. Apart from my presence with the student, any course involves a preparation time before and after the lesson, including the work that I correct. My goal is to design an individualized course, so I take the time to write detailed comments on corrected work or tips to ensure maximum success for everyone. For example, an editorial correction can easily be the subject of a detailed commentary of 4 typewritten pages. For adults (FLE): In order to optimally prepare the first ones, I take the initiative to inform myself in advance of their objectives / expectations. Whether to practice speaking in everyday life, the professional world or to practice oral presentations, I prepare either PPT or technical sheets in advance that I send by mail ( after booking on the website). The other alternative is to make a PV of the course that I send (or that I print). Giving importance to keeping a written record on the one hand to better memorize the topics covered, on the other hand to better assimilate the spelling. Of a general nature, a concrete situation that responds to the learner's needs is the starting point. From this situation, I address the essential grammatical points.

French for all level, including IB French with a native French speaker
I am a native-speaking french teacher, who has achieved a high 6 in IB french A level, self-taught. I believe in teaching french (and languages in general) through practice: we will speak french in every class while learning about grammar, and practising writing skills. If you are an Ib student, I can help you prepare for your exams, IAs and IOs and achieve the best possible marks. Having lived in France for a major part of my life, I gladly discuss french culture, history and literature with you if you are interested. I am all for making classes as enjoyable as possible !!! A little more about me, I have tutored a few students in French in the last few years, and I graduated from the IB in 2021 with 39 points in ETIS (ESPOO). I am to enter the University of Warwick in a Politics, Economics and Philosophy degree in the end of September.

(I)GCSE English Literature / IB English Literature
Having difficulties analysing poems and prose in your (I) GCSE / IB English Literature course? Looking to amp your essays up a notch and finally get that A/A* or 6/7 that you have been dreaming of? I am here to help. The first thing to remember: though analysing works of literature isn't always fun, everybody can master the techniques of how to do it. But learning takes time, which the school teacher may often lack. Indeed, it has been my own experience that English teachers often choose width over depth, and so discussions are cut short for the sake of covering all elements of the teaching programme, leaving many interesting aspects of a particular work unexplored. Or sometimes it's just the attention that wanders off as the teacher is explaining these pesky concepts of "writer's voice", "writer's tone", "meter", "rhymescheme" and so on. Let me assure you: that, too, happens even to the best of us. What I can offer you is exactly what a teacher normally does not time for: exploring a work of literature in as much detail (both analytical and technical) as it takes to push the quality of your essays up to the desired level. My approach is informed by IB / (I)GSCE Eng Lit course guidelines to make sure that the quality of your answer would be developed in accordance with what examiners want to see. Armed with a deep passion for literature on the one hand (reading and writing poems and short stories are one of my favorite things to do) and knowledge of ways of critical analysis (obtained in IB English Lit and reinforced by philosophy courses on university level) which are of tremendous importance in literary analysis as well, I will show you how to deconstruct any piece, how to place it in its cultural context, and make educated guesses about the links between cultural context and the author's choice of stylistical devices. And best of all - unlike in the classroom, the learning experience is tailored to you (based on your way of learning / remembering) and delivered in a highly interactive way! The skills described above, coupled with general essay writing tips will lend authority and style to your summative essays and exam answers, boosting your academic confidence. Ready to leave unsatisfactory essays in the past? Then contact me today!
