Having a good command of French and English is a major asset in order to evolve serenely in an increasingly globalized world. Consequently, the courses offered are adapted to the needs of the student so as to improve his skills and to implement all the means necessary for his academic success or not. It is therefore imperative that the student can express his wishes and target his weaknesses in order to produce effective work.

About Me
I offer my services to allow the student to be more comfortable in a given area. Having a pronounced taste for French and literature as well as for languages, especially English and German, giving my classes seems to me to be an excellent way to combine my passion for these areas as well as student support who feels the need.
Education
After having obtained a literary baccalaureate with honors, I went to a preparatory literary class which allowed me to integrate, at the end of it, a school of communication and translation.
Experience / Qualifications
Having worked in a leisure center with young children, I know how to adapt to their needs and understand how they work. In addition, my position as the eldest in the family has allowed me, on numerous occasions, to help my younger daughter with her homework.

**COVID19 pandemic update: Given the circumstances and taking our safety into consideration, I am currently not giving lessons in person. I am, however, available for skype lessons. Thank you for your understanding and stay safe!**

A passionate lover of the English culture and lifestyle, I have acquired official certification equivalent to Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) level, corresponding to level C2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (the highest level possible). After living in the United States for two years, I am currently pursuing a double major Anglais/Etudes Internationales at the Sorbonne University in Paris.

My experience in France has taught me that due to the specific nature of the English language and the limited time to practice it, there is an issue when it comes to conversational English. This is what my lessons will focus on - everyday conversational English, correction of accent, learning about stress and sentence dynamics which help you to sound more natural and understanding of phonology and the IPA transcription.

If you are shy when it comes to expressing yourself in front of others; if you find yourself lacking the "proper" expressions or tools to engage in everyday conversations; or if you just want to learn what does "hitting the books", "to lose your touch", or to "pitch in" mean - this class is probably for you. And I promise you we'll have a lot of fun while learning!

Note: This class focuses mainly on American English.

Victoria
French:
My name is Victoria and I'm from Ontario, Canada. I have a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, a Master of Arts from York University, and a TEFL certification.

I have varied teaching experience with students of all ages and levels. I work professionally as a middle school principal, adult language teacher, and private tutor. I am an experienced teacher of English as a Second Language and English Literature and have worked in Canada, China, and currently teach in Paris.

My method: I meet with the student and identify their English goals (business, conversation, test preparation, vocabulary isolation). I assess their learning style and create unique lesson plans that effectively promote language retention and overall student confidence. My goal is to keep students challenged but never overwhelmed. I assign homework (student's choice) after each lesson and provide periodic progress reports.
