I've been a professional guitarist for around 15 years and am a graduate of Goldsmiths in classical music. I have a wealth of experience playing in various genres in addition to teaching students of all abilities privately and in schools. With a first-class degree in music and 15 years' experience of playing violin and piano, I teach violin, piano and music theory at all levels. Having also been involved in various outreach projects in schools and nurseries, I am an experienced music tutor and base my lessons around the love of music whilst improving technical skills and musicality. I am a passionate and experienced saxophone teacher who has honed a highly efficient and patient approach to music instruction. I am motivated and pro-active and enjoy working with people to reach their goals. I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons to students of all levels. As a pianist 12 years of teaching experience and over 21 years of playing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the course of learning piano. If the student is interested in a more serious approach, I can also guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) exams. I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth.
