Hello! I offer lessons in musical composition (classical/contemporary style), music theory (harmony, counterpoint, form,) and orchestration. I also teach Kurdish and Arabic music theory.

My teaching style emphasizes creative engagement of students in lessons and a stimulating approach with a plenty of examples and playing. I carefully plan lessons to make them appropriate for the needs and style of each student while teaching them all the skills they need and encouraging them to experiment with new possibilities that can enrich their music.

About Me

I always do my best and I am punctual and committed, believing in the importance of creating an atmosphere of flow and enthusiasm during the lectures and letting students be actively involved with them, both in the classroom as well as through assignments.

Education

I have a master's degree in musical composition from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden. I studied composition with Karen Rehnqvist and Pär Lindgren, graduating in 2015.

Experience / Qualifications

I have more than five years of experience as a private music teacher. I have taught many students privately and held workshops at the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus and other colleges. I also conduct an ensemble of mixed Western and Kurdish instruments, the Kulturvan Ensemble. My music has been performed by orchestras such as Stockholm Symphonic Wind Band, KammarensembleN, the string orchestra Musica Vitae, the Syrian Heritage Ensemble, the Royal College's own symphony orchestra, and Ensemble Norrbotten Neo. An orchestral piece by me was performed by the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra in 2015.

Welcome to my online Piano Class.
I will happily help you achieve your musical goals, from the basic fundamentals of piano playing (reading music, positioning your hands on the keys) to building a wonderful sound and technique, allowing you to play anything you wish, from simple melodies to the renown classical piano repertoire of any era.

I respect every student, I focus on everyones' different needs and I am always happy and creative in helping everyone to learn through the simplest ways- "if it's easy it's correct", that's my motto! My greatest happiness is to watch my students overcome any limit and expand in full potential!

On Jan 11 2026 four young students of mine were awarded by the Royal Competition and were invited and performed at a Gala at the Carnegie Hall in New York City! Also, being invited to participate to the Juilliard School festival, with masterclass and lessons!

On Sept 1st 2024 three of my awarded students were invited to perform at The DiMenna Classical Centre of Music in Manhattan!

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age.

I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

In my class you will not only be able to receive piano lessons but also will learn to understand how the music works as a language. If the interest and the profile of the student goes in the direction of the purely classical music performance, the lessons will be focused on a deep and conscious piano technique development, practicing techniques, musical interpretation, history of music, history of the piano, applied harmony on the keyboard, analysis, and score reading by a method that I have developed for over 15 years of experience. And if the students wish, I can help them to prepare for the ABRSM exams and competitions as well. All this is aiming to achieve in a very practical and exciting experience the best results in the fastest way possible. But if the profile and the interests of the students goes on another way, I will give them all the tools they need to understand the language of music in depth, so they can find their own voice on the instrument. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician.

One of the key aspects I focus on is supporting the student's interest and developing their motivation. In connection with this, lessons are held in a comfortable, respectful psychological atmosphere without pressure, where the student can relax and be themselves, without fear of judgment from the teacher.

In lessons, I use supplementary materials such as poems, paintings, and sculptures to enrich the student's understanding of music.

Lessons are adapted for age. Children usually prefer a game-based approach: minimum theory and more playing.

Hi! I am a violinist currently studying at the University of Southampton. I offer violin lessons and grade 5 theory tutoring across wide levels no matter a beginner, preparing for 1 - 8 grade exams, working towards GCSE practical exams, or just learning for some fun! I specialise in helping students progress through ABRSM grades and Grade 5 Theory as well as GCSE practical exams.

I hold a performance diploma for violin (ARSM) and have achieved distinction in ABRSM grade 8 violin. Academically, I achieved GCSE music Grade 9, A-level music A* in performance and composing, A in appraising. Outside of my academic life, I have performed as a first violinist in youth orchestras as well as being the concert master in inter school orchestra (ISSP). Moreover I have had experience playing as a wedding violinist and gained extensive solo recital and chamber performance experience being in quartets.
