My teaching method is scrupulously adapted to each student I have, regardless of the subject to work on (musical language, cello, music history, analysis, conducting, etc.) I always apply the Belgian teaching model, where I trained with my master's degrees in Conducting (Antwerp) and Historical Cello (Brussels). According to this model, the main thing is a living and practical teaching, taking understanding and not memory as the main learning engine.

Daniel's teaching philosophy focusses on strong fundimentals and uses those as a basis for expression through music. Hi my name is Osian and I’m a cellist from South Wales. I’ve taught children of many ages and standards and I really feel privileged to be a part of someone’s musical and personal development. Music lessons can be a way of reaching the concert platform or it could be a way of expressing yourself and being creative, wether it’s a career path or not. I grew up playing and singing where my first priority was to fall in love with music and learn to perform it to the best standard that I could do and that’s what I’d like to encourage my students to aim for too. I’m a BMus Hons Scholar from The Royal Academy of Music and I’m not studying at a masters lever at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

Each session will be structured around a combination of essential techniques, music theory, and, of course, actual playtime. We will start with mastering the basic cello postures, proper finger positioning, and bowing techniques, ensuring that students build a strong foundation. As we progress, we will delve into complex aspects like vibrato, scales, and sight-reading. In my class, expect a nurturing and supportive environment where mistakes are seen as opportunities for learning. I am dedicated to making the cello an extension of the student's own voice, and I look forward to embarking on this musical journey together.

Hello to everyone! My name is María, I am a Venezuelan Cellist. All my musical education was inside the musical program "El Sistema" in Venezuela. This education was based on preparing myself as a better human being though playing cello in orchestras, chamber music and as soloist. I am current studying my Master degree at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. In what consist my lessons? Cello classes for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced), it does not matter if you have never played cello before or if you are already studying, the important thing is to help you achieve the goals you want with this beautiful instrument. To have better results with practice, if it is necessary to help you with music theory, I will help you. As well, if you're looking for help in orchestral excerpts for auditions, I'm here for you! For kids, parental support is also important during some lesson, we are all a team and we need to work together to achieve the goals! Hi everyone! My name is Ilona. I am a professional cellist and a cello teacher with a Master’s degree. My teaching experience is more than 11 years, with 3 years experience of online teaching. Online learning how to play cello is completely acceptable for all levels and ages from 8 years old.  Either you are a Zero Beginner or you are preparing to pass entry exam to conservatory - I will explain you how to practice to become more effective on cello. My current students range in age from 8 to 51 years old and come from all over the world. I always work for results, so our lessons may be longer than an hour at times simply because we haven't completed the lesson plan (with no extra pay). Before you begin learning the cello with me, you should understand two important concepts: when you play the cello, you use your body (arms, fingers) to create sound, and you use your soul and emotions to create music. We'll start by learning how to make sounds, which you'll later use to express your emotions. I study at the Musikhochschule Mannheim and at the Blackmore Academy Berlin. I have worked both as an orchestra musician with renowned orchestras such as the Hr-Symphonieorchester and the Museumsorchester Frankfurt and also as a soloist with the Geringas Chamber Orchestra. I have attended many international courses with, among others: David Geringas, Reinhard Latzko, Jan Ickert and Martti Rousi. I teach in German, Russian and English. I design the lessons according to the student's wishes. I am particularly interested in further development in order to cope with increasingly difficult tasks, for example the section leader in the orchestra. I attach great importance to literature from all stylistic epochs from baroque to modern, including popular music. I like to teach beginners according to Gabriel Koeppen's cello school, volumes 1-3 and the Suzuki method. I regularly arrange works for my students' cello sambles and, at the request of the students, music that has not yet been rewritten for cello.

My name is Miriam, I'm in my final year of Master studies at KASK & Conservatorium in Ghent. I've been teaching cello to children, teenagers and adults for 8 years, so I've acquired the necessary experience to be able to adapt to the different and personal needs and objectives of each student. My teaching methodology focuses on creating a friendly and relaxed environment (which does not mean undemanding!) in which students feel confident to express their own ideas and worries. In my lessons I focus on technical and postural questions, but we also reflect together on the music, as I like my students to develop their own musical ideas and not just imitate the teacher.

Hey! My name is Luke and I'm a cellist currently finishing up my junior year at Interlochen center for the arts. I have been playing cello for 15 years (basically my whole life) and have attended multiple music institutes in my career- including Juilliard, Boston University Tanglewood Institute, and San Fransisco Conservatory of Music. I have also performed in many great venues with great orchestras including Alice-Tully Hall as principal cellist of the ISO 3rd street's symphony orchestra, and David Geffin Hall side by side with members of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. My hobbies and interests include... well... music :) I have been an informal teacher/tutor for around 2 years now, and I teach students of all ages and all levels. I have taught private lessons with kids of all ages and was also an assistant music instructor for a semester at the French American School of Boca Raton. I use many different methodologies which I tailor to the goals of the student. For example, if a student is looking to improve technique, I would use Schroeder, Popper, Piatti... etude books... and tailor the exercises to the student's ability. However, if a student is simply preparing for an audition or recital of some sort perhaps a specific method is not necessary, and all they require is a practice coach. If a student is closer to the beginning of their cello journey and is unsure of their next steps, I find the Suzuki method to be the most straightforward and effective.
