Hi, I’m Libby, a native British English tutor, Business Communication Facilitator, and Language Specialist with a passion for helping professionals communicate more confidently, naturally, and effectively in English.

I was also part of RBS’s internal facilitation team, where I helped troubleshoot and ease difficult workplace situations. This taught me how to use language to open dialogue, build confidence, and communicate effectively even in challenging conversations, skills I now bring into every lesson.

My teaching focuses on practical, real-world English. I help students improve business communication, conversational fluency, accent reduction, interview preparation, presentation skills, and natural phrasing so they can sound more confident and authentic when speaking with native English speakers.

Alongside teaching, I also work in digital communication and content strategy, creating SEO content, blog articles, marketing copy, and online engagement strategies for businesses and global audiences. I additionally work with international digital assessment companies, analysing online content for accuracy, compliance, and quality. This keeps me highly aware of modern communication trends, digital language, and how English is used naturally in professional environments today.

With a background in global finance, multinational logistics, entrepreneurship, and communication coaching, I bring a practical, adaptable, and supportive approach to teaching. I am known for being approachable, tech-savvy, encouraging, and able to adapt lessons to each student’s needs and personality quickly.

I tailor my lessons to each student and their needs. I use videos, podcasts, newspaper articles and more, to discover new vocabulary and bring it to life through discussion and debate. Doing it this way, I help my students understand the natural speech patterns and phrases of native speakers and incorporate them into their own daily speech.

As a Business Communications Specialist and Language Facilitator, I get such a positive feeling and deep satisfaction from helping individuals hone their English language skills to communicate confidently and fluently in all settings.
I have taught for over 15 years, both internally for international corporate brands and privately as a tutor. As someone who also home educates her own children, I keep up to date with the most effective methods and resources available, and I am adept at tailoring my style to the student.

In my own time, I continue my studies in spoken and computer languages. I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, going outside to photograph the beautiful nature and history in my corner of France, engaging in my community and watching sci-fi.
