Lyrical coloratura soprano, Virginie obtains the Teaching Diploma of singing in 1997 and Virtuosity singing in 2001 at the Conservatoire de Lausanne, in the class of Pierre-André Blaser. She then perfects herself with Jean-Pierre
Blivet, with whom she continues her vocal work. During her studies, she receives the
Friedl-Wald Stiftung and Colette Mosetti, and then, in 2002, the
Leenards Foundation for Arts and Letters. Between 1992 and 2010, Virginie is a soloist in Brahms's German Requiem under the direction of Michel Corboz, Handel's Messiah, Bach's Christmas Oratorio, Rossini's Little Mass, Vivaldi's Magnificat and Gloria. She also plays Sandmännchen in Humperdinck's Haensel und Gretel in Vevey and Leila in Bizet's Les Pêcheurs de Perles in Dorigny. She then settled in France, where she played different roles in both opera productions and operettas. She is soloist of a Rossini aria concert with the Sorbonne Orchestra under the direction of J. Grimbert in Paris, Rome and Brescia. Returning to Switzerland in 2009, she finds the choir of the Lausanne Opera for Il Trovatore, La Périchole, Othello and Beethoven's 9th Symphony. In recent years, she has mainly performed in recital. In 2013, she plays Frasquita in "Carmen" during a summer festival.

I am a Clarinet, Saxophone and Vocal coach from Zimbabwe with over a decade of teaching and performance experience from leading a successful solo career and working as a music teacher. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Jazz singing from Haute Ecole de Musique (HEMU) Lausanne where I am currently studying a Masters in Jazz Pedagogy.
