ThomasEnglish conversation with a Cambridge University graduate
I take an immersive approach, with conversation the medium for teaching grammar. This keeps my lessons light-hearted and fun, without grammar and syntax becoming a chore. My language degree from Cambridge University has helped me understand and appreciate the English language all the more. We pick a theme at each class and the conversation itself is an organic process (as conversations are). Homework would consist of reading around a topic in English in preparation for the next class. This approach suits everyone, from a child to an adult.
CyprienFormer student of ES (mention very good in the baccalaureate) gives course of SES, English or history in Marseille
Currently studying political science in Lille, I want to find a job using my achievements of high school according to the method taught in preparatory class for examinations of IEP.
The pupil is initially aware of his difficulties and misunderstanding. Then, tasks and recitations are realized to improve the level of the student in the subject.
The principle is to fill the gaps of the student according to a logic of interaction with the teacher. To avoid getting close to formal schooling, visual aids can be used. The student may also be encouraged to write lesson cards and to synthesize the course given by the high school teacher.
DanielEnglish and math by every day events (shopping, planning a vacation abroad, setting up a budget....
I propose to give a basic English class ( non-English speakers to those with basic ability) by involving the student in various activities like going shopping, booking a holiday, setting up a budget...etc.
I propose a system of evaluation in the form of constant dialog and after class research crystallised into short essays that will finally allow the student to be a confident talker, reader and writer.
My idea is to get the student interested and keep the student encouraged irrespective of the level or ability.
For the class in math, I propose a class for those who have difficulty keeping up with the pace at school.
My idea is to have the student send me their mathematical problems in advance and then solving the problem and similar problems by making it applicable to everyday life to finally grasp the concept at hand.
Evaluation would then consist of:
- an introductory research into the subject
- identifying why the student cannot solve the problem
- solving the problem and similar problems
- catching up on missing or misunderstood classes.
