About Me

My name is Pilar, for 8 years I have been dedicated to piano pedagogy with great enthusiasm to see future pianists grow. I love teaching at all stages of learning and at all ages.

I started specializing in piano initiation pedagogy with boys and girls from 5 years old. My classes are based on the combination of several piano methods, from the most classic ones such as James Bastien, the Thomson method or the European Method, to more modern methods, being the one I use the most in class and the one that gives the best results, Katherine's method. Fisher and Julia Knerr "Piano Safari". It is an entertaining and fun method where the little ones will learn basic piano and music issues from a journey through the world of animals. We will sing, we will learn songs, we will tell stories and above all, it will be done in the most fun way.

As a classical pianist I have extensive knowledge of the history of music and the technique and interpretation of the piano. These questions have helped me bring the difficult piano practice closer to all kinds of ages and tastes. I teach from classical pieces to styles closer to jazz or blues, and I make arrangements of all kinds of songs, from pop, rock, or popular music.

In the 8 years that I have been teaching I have always obtained good results, both on a personal level, dealing with my students, and on a professional level, I have really managed to make the piano accessible to everyone who wants to get closer to it. And the answer is always in the tastes, desires and expectations of the one who is learning.

One of the most wonderfull string instrument is the cello. If you want to learn how to play cello or just to continue improving your skills do not hesitate to contact me.
I have a lot of experience teaching cello and for me, the most important thing in my lessons is learn well and enjoy.

Ussually, my lesson programme is start with a short warm up (technique exercises) to continue with different cello pieces chosen by the students.
I have a lot of pop and actual music cello pieces for all levels.
