I myself am mainly active as a writer of theatre texts, but I also have experience with writing song lyrics, literary translations, essays etc.. I approach all texts from a creative perspective and artistic vision. As a theatre author I am also concerned with how a text sounds - if it does not sound pleasant, it can certainly be written better. As a coach, I focus primarily on giving feedback on the texts you write and I am happy to help you get started with assignments to start writing and/or to shake off the dreaded writer's block. If you prefer to focus more on theory around writing, I am of course happy to help you with that too. /// As a writer (mainly playwriting, but also songs, columns, literary translations and essays) I'm very interested in helping you either to start writing, or to better your writing. We'll work mostly by practicing and discussing your work. If you prefer to zoom in on theorists, I'm happy to guide you in that as well. I'm a professional playwriter and dramaturg (and studied at LUCA School of Arts with Nico Boon, Freek Mariën and Nathan Vecht). I previously taught playwriting in different groups (CREA, Buitenkunst) and work as a script advisor for professional theater makers. Besides that, I often help people in writing resumes, papers and thesis papers.

I currently work as a private language teacher in Belgium and I have a good level of English. As I am not a native speaker, I do not give advanced lessons. People from any age, including kids, can follow my English lessons for levels A1, A2 and B1.

As the official Faculty Proofreader for the Institute of Philosophy at the KU Leuven, I have developed a deep understanding of the common struggles both professors and the wider student body face with respect to academic writing. Whether it be formal and linguistic errors or stylistic, structural, and argumentative issues, I gathered practical tools students can systematically employ to improve their academic writing—skills which coincide with the demands of a tutoring job. I’ve designed this course as the ultimate guide to academic writing, but that’s not it. Given my experience in debate clubs in Leuven, Brussels, and Munich, as well as in hosting highly successful discussion groups with students of all stripes, I can also teach you how to deliver fantastic presentations and get your point across in the most articulate manner. As a polyglot, I can give you examples in Arabic, Farsi, Urdu/Hindi, Punjabi, and German, so if you speak any of these languages, I’ll make sure you have an easier time learning English with me. With this course, I can teach a beginner how to speak English fluently but also creatively, I can teach an intermediate speaker how to take their language skills to the next level, and I can help an advanced English speaker sharpen their presentation skills and academic writing.

During the course with me you will have the opportunity to learn this new language in an entertaining and motivating way. We are going to work both the field of reading, writing, pronunciation and comprehension together. I am a Research Master’s student in Philosophy at the KU Leuven from Toronto Canada. My native language is English and I also have background knowledge of French, however, I don’t speak it well. I teach private lessons on how to write essays in English in the Brussels and Leuven area. My academic career has provided me with a high level of proficiency in understanding of language structure, syntax and grammar. As an editor-in-chief for a university graduate journal in philosophy for two years now, I have cultivated my writing and editing abilities and want to share with you how to easily write and structure papers in order to achieve high grades. I obtained a BA degree in English Language and Literature, as well as an English MA degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology at KU Leuven. This academic background has laid the foundation for my theoretical knowledge of the English language, especially my reading and writing skills. Additionally, I spent a semester in Dublin in order to improve my 'hands-on' speaking skills. I have a genuine passion for the English language which I hope to pass on to my students. Listening and reading skills are especially important in the learning process as they are essential elements to developing an intuitive sense of a language. Hello everyone! I'm Giorgia and I come from Torino, Italy. I offer my native knowledge of Italian to any of you, who wants to discover this beautiful language. I teach for all levels, from very beginners to advanced speakers, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I can also help with university exams and school works/assignments. Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages. I offer you a German course that is not like the others. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you travel back and forth by train every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Memorise the timetable. 2) Realise that the train comes every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in textbooks and in normal lessons, the first approach is used - in the course I am offering you, it is the second approach because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both pupils and adults who want to learn the German language without time-consuming detours through the madness of fruitless school methods. Learning is easy, but unlearning things that have become bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, with my customised lessons you will greatly accelerate the learning process while having a positive attitude. I offer German lessons for individuals or groups (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive science and historical linguistics in particular. My modular programme can be adapted on a case-by-case basis. The converging point of these modules is your independence in spontaneous conversations in real life. What will not be covered in the course: learning lists of verbs; learning lists of nouns with articles; learning words with their translations; flashcards; doing school exercises; following the syllabus of a booklet; imposing the English grammar on the German language. What is particularly important to me: to motivate my student and to give him a learning rhythm; to encourage his creativity; to befriend him with the language; the letters and their sounds; to strengthen the memory by training the phonological loop; to teach blueprints instead of memorising sentences; to explain how the language works in order to make my student independent as quickly as possible; to eliminate common preconceptions, such as that 'der' would mean masculine and 'die' feminine, that the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, that verbs would be irregular, that declension would be random and therefore would have to be learnt with each verb...; to put practice at the centre and only deal with grammar where necessary. A first lesson will give you a sound idea of my pedagogy.
