ClémentThe clarinet, a fascinating instrument! Courses for all ages, all levels, all walks of life.
The clarinet is a fascinating instrument. Its woody timbre, its tessitura close to the voice offers a wide range of musical directions. Whether you want to play classical, jazz, song or world music, we will progress together to connect the song and the instrument. To develop the breath, to consolidate its supports, to feel the rhythm and to shine the melodies, that is the objective!
I adapt my method according to each student but here are the central points of my educational work:
- Warm up: stretching and breathing
- Sound work: beak, held notes, harmonics *
- Technique: ranges, transpositions *
- Repertoire: Piece being learned, reading *, improvisation.
* confirmed students
I attach particular importance to the link between song and instrument. Singing the songs and even the scales improves the musicality, the phrasing, the accuracy to the instrument.
As much as possible, I ask to memorize the pieces. Knowing how to sing a song before playing it is for me the best way to integrate it.
ElisabethViolin lessons, fun learning, classical and variety
Do you want to learn violin? Do you start or want to resume and go further? I propose playful and constructed lessons to learn how to handle this instrument so fascinating and complex at the same time.
By progressing little by little, we will be able to approach the pieces and the styles of your preference, so that you will have quickly pleasure in your learning.
LucieCertified cellist gives classes for all levels at home in Lausanne
I propose cello lessons for all ages, all levels, and all walks of life:
Whether you are already in a conservatory course, as a tutor, and to help you prepare your competitions.
Or if you chose this beautiful instrument from 7 to 77 years, to address classical repertoires, jazz, rock, be able to improvise ... etc
My teaching is based on the listening of the student, in order to transmit to him techniques and solid knowledge, in the pleasure of the music.
The teaching of music theory can be done separately, with a very playful approach, or be integrated into the learning of the instrument!
CyprienMusic theory course in Lausanne, all levels: Solfège, Harmony, Arrangement, Composition, Improvisation ..
Graduated from the DEM Jazz in France with the first prize for harmony and arrangement in 2015, and currently a student at the HEMU Jazz in Lausanne, I propose music theory lessons for beginners, intermediate or advanced students.
My course is not only on paper but also uses the student's instrument and possibly a piano, which allows to better visualize the theoretical elements.
According to the desires or needs expressed by the student, I propose:
- Readings of scores, notes and rhythms.
- Harmony, understanding of chords and cadences, bases of improvisation.
- Analysis of pieces or songs.
- Solfeggio and ear development: to create a link between musical theory and its practice.
- Arrangement for all styles of music (for advanced students)
- Notions of composition.
Language: French, possibly English.
Master student at the Lausanne University of Music in the jazz department
My classical initial training opened me the basics of music theory, harmony, instrumental technique. In parallel with my classical apprenticeship, at the age of 13, I trained in contemporary music such as jazz, Latin and folk music that are part of my origins and other styles that result from pop, variety, hip hop ...
My pedagogy adapts to the needs and envy of each student and focuses on the notion of rhythm, autonomy and pleasure. It is possible to work on the more classical and technical aspect of the instrument which requires a solfegic base or the more improvised and harmonic aspect of the instrument (singers wishing to be accompanied) using the science of chords. Generally, for all young beginners, I divide the course into two parts, one solfegic and the other practice to prepare the child beginner approaching the instrument.
My class schedules are quite flexible
Do not hesitate to contact me for more questions.
BernardPiano and music theory classes. Classical / jazz. Berklee graduate.
I offer piano and music theory lessons in English, French and Spanish in the Lausanne area.
I graduated "summa cum laude" from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston majoring in film scoring and composition, minoring in conducting and with piano as my main instrument.
Currently my main activity is writing music for films but I have been teaching piano lessons since 2012 and love it! My Berklee education gave me a very solid education, both performance and theory wise, in many different music styles ranging from classical to jazz and rock.
My teaching philosophy is based on enjoyment of the music we create, enjoyment of the learning process, and on developing the ear. This allow the student, from any age, to start expressing themselves very quickly. My students start working hard not because I ask them to, but because they love it!
In addition of the piano part I can also give classes in classical or jazz theory, composing, improvising or music technology. I am also happy to mix any of those.
