Ukrainian/Russian for Undegraduates course proceeds from the easiest elements (e.g. the nomenative case of nouns and past tense of verbs) to the most complex (e.g. adjectival and adverbial participles. All of the materials is presented from the point of view of an English speaker learning Ukrainian/Russian.The course is diveded into twenty three chapters and introduction to phonetics. This division readily corresponds to a lesson or two lessons per week in a twenty -six/thirteen weeks course, including devotion to phonetics and one week remaining for testing and review. The grammatical drilss are included. Each lesson ends with a homework drill which is to be done outside of the class and which is intended to be a test of the student's grasp of the material covered.

As I majored in Spanish at high school, I know what knowledge is required at this level for the exams and especially the Matura.

Using my experience as a student, I first teach the vocabulary that will later be memorized through different exercises, both written and oral. This is how grammar will also be implemented. We will try to liven up the classes with short videos and songs from time to time, as I think they are a good tool to improve oral comprehension. If parents prefer to focus on general school support, we will work on the most difficult subjects, trying to give some time to each one, in a pedagogical and calm way.

I will work vith you on your pronunciation. The most important is you ability to communicate verbally with others. I will help you to better control your accent in order to speak fluently the French language. You are welcome to ask questions about words or sentences that you will like to master.
