About Me
Originally from Yorkshire and a people person to my core, after starting contemporary dance as a teenager, I then found yoga which helped me hugely in managing the anxiety that often comes during these years. After reconnecting with the practice in my adult life in 2019 I’ve found it to be an invaluable tool for balance, grounding and connection whilst living in London.I passionately believe that yoga is for everybody’s body and that joy and self acceptance can be found through consistent practice. I create open and friendly classes, accompanied by mood boosting (whilst also calming) playlists, that interweave strength and stability work.
I use the breath as a core element of the practice, helping students connect with themselves throughout. Ensuring that variations of poses are incorporated so the practice can be accessed by all, I also give gentle offerings of assists and breathing techniques that can be used on and off the mat.
I have lived in London for 10 years working in events and operations management within the Dance, Theatre & Events industries.

Hi, I'm Daphne — a passionate yogini, certified RYT 200 since 2016. My background is in Hatha yoga, and these days, I'm deeply immersed in the alignment-focused practice of Iyengar yoga.
I offer online/offline yoga classes that are gentle yet powerful, focusing on precision, posture, and healing.
I’m Austrian, grew up in Japan, and now live in Malta with my two young children. I speak English, German, and Japanese. Daily meditation (Triratna style) is an essential part of my life and deeply influences my teaching. I believe yoga is a journey inward, not a performance.

🧭 The First Discovery — Yoga as a Way of Life
In my late twenties, while backpacking through North India, I found myself in Rishikesh —
not knowing it was one of the world’s most sacred places for yoga. There, I trained with inspiring teachers in Hatha and Iyengar yoga,
including Ashish Sharma. I joined a retreat at the Yoga-Gang Centre in Old Rajpur, and for the first time, truly understood yoga as more than physical movement —
it was a philosophical, mindful approach to life.
🩺 The Second Discovery — Yoga as Healing
Years later, after giving birth, I suffered from intense postnatal back pain.
I couldn’t even do basic poses. After seeing a chiropractor, I slowly returned to my mat.
With consistent Iyengar practice, within a few months, my pain was gone.
This experience showed me the therapeutic power of yoga — how it can heal and restore the body from within.
