I am half-French, half-American, 40 years old. I have a B.A. in Comparative Literature from Yale. I have been teaching English and French and doing general tutoring in Monaco for the past 4 years, mainly with Russian and Ukrainian families. My students include chlidren as young as 5, teenagers, university students and senior professionals. My specialties are English, French, and Math. In addition, I can tutor children in all subjects up to IGCSE. I can also assist IB students with their extended essays and college applications, and help them prep for the ACT or SAT. I already have substantial experience working with children and students enrolled at ISM, various public Monegasque schools, and IUM. In addition to French and English, I speak perfect Italian.

I am a native English speaker from Ireland. I am Montessori trained and TEFL trained. I have been teaching English to young students in France for many years and I have a great deal of experience. I specialise in preparing students for English written and oral exams but I also help children with homework and general spoken english. I generally teach from my home in Cannes but I am available to travel short distances. I can discuss times and location at a later date.

Un élément-clé pour progresser rapidement dans une nouvelle langue est de développer son vocabulaire. Oubliez la grammaire pour un moment . Vous aurez beau maîtriser la grammaire d’une langue : si votre vocabulaire est limité, vous ne pourrez simplement pas vous exprimer. Mieux vaut s’exprimer en faisant quelques fautes de grammaire que ne pas pouvoir s’exprimer du tout ! Il ne suffit cependant pas d’apprendre des mots de manière aléatoire. Il existe différents types de listes de vocabulaire : Mais bien sûr sans la grammaire complément sera une erreur dans l'apprentissage , donc il faut les apprendre paralelement , c'est pourqoui vous aurez besoin d'un prof qui sait combiner les deux d'une manière efficace

Classes will be held exclusively in English for middle and high school students. We will come back together on the lesson studied in class to return to the unearned points. Exercises to practice the lesson studied as well as to deepen it. Finally during the whole duration of the lesson we will privilege the oral. It's been 3 years that I give English lessons for high school and high school students who still have not learned the basics. I had 6 students in all these last years. All of my students were able to increase their average, and gained fluency in English.

I am from Sweden but currently living in Florida and have done for the past three years for university studies. I will be living in France this summer and would love help you or your child improve your english. My experience as an international in the US has taught me a great amount about the language and I can relate to the misunderstandings or confusions with learning english. I have taught in various primary and secondary schools in the Principality, including students of Hotel Management at the Lycee Technique et Hotelier, in Monte Carlo. I hold a TESOL Certificate from Trinity College London. I also have a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in English and English Literature. I have been a resident of Monaco for 31 years and can speak French fluently. I have taught students of all levels and linguistic backgrounds at my residence in Monaco or at the office.
