This course is intended for people who want tutoring or special help in order to prepare for the matriculation exams, or even those at university. I teach all school math subjects, as well as college-level analysis and algebra. If you need support in your lessons or your school exams I would be happy to prepare you and allow you to improve quickly. I can also allow you to get ahead of your program and learn mathematical concepts at university level (up to the second year of engineering school). My experience with university and college students allows me to easily adapt my pedagogy to all levels in order to get the best out of it. The courses take place mainly at my place or on the EPFL campus, I can also travel by public transport to your place.

Currently in my second year of a Bachelor in Bioengineering at EPFL, I offer tutoring from middle school to highschool level in maths, biology and chemistry. I also offer help to prepare for tests and exams. I practice these classes daily and I always had excellent grades in them. I am also used to helping struggling students. I mainly work with problem solving to understand where the difficulties come from and work on them with the student. It allows the student to develop an excellent understanding of the theory, as well as a nice inventory of classic problems, often asked during tests.

Hello, I am in my second year (BA4) at EPFL in Environmental Science and Engineering. I repeated my first semester last year which allowed me to have a very good command of the BA1 courses. I am therefore very comfortable explaining analysis, physics and chemistry (scientific subjects in general). I have already given private lessons before to a 4th grade student and a final year student (in France).

At university, I have been an assistant in Chemistry for the first years of EPFL for a few years as well as for a course linking mathematics and electronics, called Signals and Systems. So I am used to teaching and explaining concepts to students with difficulties. I also give private lessons to students passing the Swiss maturity or the French baccalaureate. To try to see together the difficulties as well as the misunderstandings: we go back to the lesson together, we do an exercise together and then I let the student do it independently and we review together if he is blocked or if we need to correct. The problem with science is often abstraction. Some subjects are difficult because we do not make the connection between them and what is really going on or what it will be used for. My goal is to explain to you the "why" by detailing examples to understand the theory. Whether in mathematics, physics, analysis, algebra, probability; I will explain to you, finding suitable examples, what blocks and make sure that you really understand by pushing the exercises a little further afterwards. We will also review the theory, sometimes difficult, but so important for learning the rigor of mathematics.
