I am always focused on using dynamic and inventive ways to enhance your singing ability.
My Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in Music from Royal Holloway College, University of London, and postgraduate studies at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, University of East London play an important role in my teaching methods which are always backed up by academic evidence and experience.
I started my vocal training 20 years ago and studied the best teachers in the world, including Silva Makamian (Soprano), Alex Moskofian (Baritone), David Combes (worked with Rami Malek), Lucinda Allen (breathing coordination expert), Irene Serra (Jazz) and Alex Economou (Berklee Alumni).
By writing, recording, and touring as a session singer for more than seven years, I have acquired extensive knowledge in a variety of genres and singing styles.

Personal Description

A well-qualified vocal instructor with teaching experience of all ages and skill levels. Centered on using dynamic and inventive ways to communicate with students and enhance their singing ability.
Prior to my postgraduate studies at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, University of East London I gained a Bachelor's Degree (Hons) in Music from Royal Holloway College, University of London.
I currently work as a freelance singer and teacher. Some of my most recent professional engagements have been with Camden Voices Choir and the BBC.

Experienced teacher of Oud and oriental Arabic singing for over 11 years, I am Lebanese and currently residing in Germany. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years.

My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run. With determination and hard work, significant progress can be made in a year, allowing one to play simple melodies.
