Hi, I'm Karoline! I have a Bachelor of Education from the University of Music and performing arts Vienna and have been teaching for several years. Whether you are a complete beginner (of any age) or have been playing for many years - my lessons will be customized to fit you personal needs and goals. For me the most important thing is to pass down my passion for the instrument and music and to teach you how to be confident with your instrument. I can also prepare you for exams (i.e. entrance exams for a music university) and teach lessons in music theory and ear training. In my lessons I like to occasionally use methods from elementary music education, which focuses on musical expression. That way you can practice to express yourself and your feelings on the instrument and the typical fear of mistakes is being avoided. I teach in a beautiful room with a grand piano near the Belvedere. Would you like to learn violin in a fun and relaxed atmosphere? My name is Gabriela, I have 12 years of experience as a performing violinist and started with my teaching practice 3 years ago. Music is a wonderful way of bringing joy and people together. My goal is to give you the tools to share it with the people around you. In this class you will learn the basics of violin technique such as the correct body posture, violin hold and the grip of the bow. In combination with violin, a introduction to music theory will also be taught! RGT is an UK-based music teaching organisation and offers a wide range of internationally recognized exams, in partnership with London College of Music Exams (one of the world's most respected music examination boards, established since 1887) and certificated by the University of West London. If anyone considers taking up the guitar exams and become a qualified guitarist, I can back you up. About the Lesson: Are you a music enthusiast that wants to start learning how to play? Are you an already good player but you want to further develop your skills? In these lessons, we will create a curriculum together, based on your wishes, needs and musical taste. Our goal is for you to be able to express yourself through your instrument. I will guide and help you to achieve this goal by providing the following classes: - Contrabass (Jazz and Classical and any other style) - Bass Guitar (Any modern style) - Music Theory - Solfeggio/ Ear training - Jazz Harmony All these classes can be taught seperately. Nevertheless, during our instrumental lesson we will cover a portion of the material of all the modules.

I started taking violin lessons at the age of 7. After years of training I am currently continuing my violin studies at Utrecht Conservatory. I have also attended music theory class for 6 years, because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. I am a trained singer- songwriter & professional musician with a BA (hons) in Composition. Originally from london I moved to Brussels to do my masters degree. I am a trained singing with a level of grade 8, I have also spent the last 6 years touring as a front women and also a backing singing with various artists around europe, including 1 top 10 artist. I understand that although it's great to have a strong technique it's also about letting go and having confidence in your ability so you can relax in the moment. I welcome students of all levels and all ages and teach a range of genres from Jazz to Rock. Alternatively I am happy to focus on technique if that is something you prefer to work on. I offer private music theory tutoring lessons to students of beginner level of different ages Depending on the student's final goal we adjust the knowledge and skills that we focus on with the student. I mostly focus on classical music theory, but can also provide an introduction to jazz and pop music theory. Ook gaan we aan de slag met verschillende ritmes, noten en toonoefeningen. Als je bezig bent met zingen kan je even al het andere loslaten en dat geeft een heerlijk gevoel van ontspanning waardoor je de rest van de dag extra energie hebt. Je lichaam is je instrument bij het zingen. We proberen dat instrument zo mooi mogelijk te laten klinken.. Tijdens de zanglessen zijn we ook bezig met articulatie, de uitspraak van vreemde talen en ook aan de betekenis van en je gevoel bij een bepaald stuk. Natuurlijk bepalen we samen wat voor soort muziek je gaat zingen. Ook maken we samen een ontdekkingsreis naar jouw favoriete muziek. WIE KAN ER LEREN ZINGEN? Iedereen kan leren zingen. Door de zanglessen zal je merken dat het zingen makkelijker wordt. Bovendien is zingen goed voor ontspanning, zowel van lichaam als geest. Zingen is gewoon genieten!

Hello! Being a singer and a singing teacher, many many times I have found myself in the situation of having to work on ear training, or solfège, or music theory… or all the above listed! Approaching music and having no clue of these elements can totally be intimidating and off-putting, but in 2023 I feel like it’s a pity that these subject still are looked at with such a fear. I want to prove to you that building these basic knowledge can be easy, accessible and not heavy at all! My program is not fixed: I’ll build it on your specific needs, wether they are preparing an exam, curiosity, getting better at pitch matching… we will discuss together. I have many books and material, and I honestly prefer to draw blackboards by myself a lot of times. Unless you will want to, I won’t ask you to buy any material, so the only cost that you will have to sustain, is for the time of the class.
