I have an extensive knowledge and experience of English grammar and literature, as well as current and past working experience in journalism (Anti-Competition Law and European Policy at the Policy and Regulatory Report) and both European and American politics. I also handle correction of text, editing, proofreading and ghostwriting, with weekly and monthly rates possible.

Hello, my name is Lucie and I would be delighted to help you learn English, either from scratch or to improve your knowledge. I love getting my students to speak since I think practice is the secret to learning a language and improving your knowledge. I always structure my classes around real-life themes (how to introduce yourself, how to make an appointment, how to shop, how to go to the doctor, talk at work, etc). Attain a fluent level of spoken and written English We will begin by identifying the student's greatest interests — those subjects they are most curious about and topics that stimulate them. These topics will be "stimulators", fueling conversations and language activities that the student themselves will eventually lead. Then, we will identify the student's biggest worries regarding the English language — where they are confused, or tend to make mistakes. This will form the workshop part of the lesson, focused on overcoming tricky grammatical mistakes and revising more complex linguistic and phonetic errors. I also offer the possibility of following a Cambridge exam oriented syllabus, such as Family and Friends, Cambridge Starters, Movers, Flyers, or B1, B2.
