Want to learn the violin or take your playing to the next level? I offer personalized lessons for all ages and levels, both online and in-person. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced player, I tailor my teaching to your needs, drawing from Hungarian and international violin traditions.

I hold Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where I studied in Valerie Oistrakh’s class. I also trained in Hungary with renowned violinists and attended international masterclasses.

If you’re just starting out, I can guide you with a solid foundation, as I believe the first teacher plays a key role in a musician’s journey.

Hello,
I am a violin teacher and violinist. Having taught the violin for 20 years and knowing in depth different instrumental techniques and different teaching methods, I can adapt my teaching to the needs, age and character of each student. In addition, my educational background combined with the unique experience and knowledge given to me by my relatively recent motherhood and my love for children and other human beings, has led me to pursue positive teaching with empathy towards the student who aims to make him happy, to love music and to acquire a solid basis for his overall development! Violinist from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, and the IMEP of Namur, I give violin lessons at all levels, all ages, from 5 years old for children.

With several years of experience in teaching the violin, my lessons are for everyone, whatever your desires. I adapt my method according to the wish as well as the age of the student, and starting an instrument as an adult should not be a brake.
Graduated in Musicology from La Sorbonne as well as from the ULB, I also offer support courses in Musical Training, History of Music and Analysis.

An instrument lesson usually lasts one hour. If necessary, I can cut the time between Violin and Musical Training / History.

My rates are 29/hour at my home (Schaerbeek), 35 if I travel.

After studying at the A. Steffani Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto in Italy where he obtained the highest distinction, Gabriele then completed his Master's degree in violin with distinction at the Royal Conservatory of Mons with M° Eliot Lawson and Wibert Aerts. During his training, Gabriele also studied with Ilya Grubert at the Fondazione Musicale Santa Cecilia in Italy, Elina Vahala at the Hochschule Fur Musik Karlsruhe and took masterclasses with Ivry Gitlis, Stefano Pagliani, Elisabeth Perry, Igor Volochine, Vineta Sareika, Kati Sebestyén and Chouchane Sironossian. He is currently studying at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with M° Shirly Laub and M° Frédéric d'Ursel in a specialized master's degree and Agrégation at the Royal Conservatory of Mons.

In 2018, Gabriele won the audition for the Jeugd Antwerp Simphony Orchestra (ASO) and for the Nationaal Jeugd Orkest (NJO); in 2019 he won the audition for European Union Youth Orchestra (Euyo) and Orchestra del Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza (OTO) and is also selected in 2020 for the Young Belgian Strings as well as the Antwerp Philarmonic Orchestra. He has collaborated with several orchestras in Italy and Belgium, including the Boho Strings Orchestra in Antwerp, the Ataneres Ensemble in Louvain, the Chapelle Musicale de Tournai in Tournai, the Assai Symphonia in Hasselt, the Orchestra of Archi Italiani and the Orchestra del Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, Italy.

Very involved in the chamber music repertoire, Gabriele founded in 2018 with the pianist Julien Lejeune the Duo Aréthuse, in which they explore the romantic French and contemporary Italian repertoire, in search of an interpretation marked by accuracy, simplicity and of modernity. They are at the initiative of the creation in 2019 of the Hellens Ensemble, consisting of a string quartet, a piano and a lyrical singer, an ensemble with which they are interested in Belgian music and more particularly to the repertoire with voice.

In my classes I aim to transmit first of all my passion and love for music.
I like to prepare a personalized programme adapted to the level and exigencies of each pupil.
I also aim to include some violin duos, to be played with me during the lessons, as I believe playing with other musicians is one of the best ways to enjoy music and learn useful musical and technical skills at the same time.
Another essential factor in my classes is correct and natural posture while playing, to let music heal our souls instead of hurting our bodies! ;) I have been practicing Yoga for a few years, and have experienced the importance of good posture and targeted light stretching, especially for younger players in a phase of growth and change.
I like to help pupils to develop good technical skills in a fun way, always applying technique to targeted repertoire and keeping in mind that technique is nothing but a means of expressing ourselves through music.

I give lessons in English, French, Italian and Spanish.
