Mathematics for secondary education: Vmbo, Mavo, Havo, Vwo
Step by step we go through the subject matter, theory and classifications together so that you get the hang of it well. Mathematics (and also Arithmetic) you learn by understanding and a lot of practice! It gives me great satisfaction when the student gets good grades.
Mathematics, economics and writing papers, international focus
I usually teach math and economics in English for students who want to become scientists. I help write a good paper. As long as Corona is there, it is possible via Teams, Zoom or Skype, but in principle the lessons in my building are within walking distance of the Central Station.
Math Tutoring for High School (VMBO, HAVO, VWO, Gymnasium)
During my studies in Econometrics at the University of Amsterdam (graduated in 2015, MSc.) and in addition to my job as a consultant, I have always taught mathematics and statistics to secondary school students and university students (HBO and WO) with great pleasure. Location: at home or in the public library (Amsterdam), Skype, Zoom Lessons can be taught in English or Dutch. NB. Since COVID-19 only online lessons by Zoom. It is possible to arrange group lessons (max 3 students).
Courses in French, Dutch, English, Mathematics, History, International Relations, Law, Science and Geography.
I am a Belgian (flamish) and French student doing a master in International Law, at the University of Amsterdam. I did my Bachelors in International Relations at the University of Geneva (magna cum laude) and a 6 months-exchange at UCSB (University California Santa Barbara). I also did my secondary education in an international high school in France, where I specialized in sciences (18/20 for the final scientific baccalaureate). The classes I had there were given out in French, English, Dutch and Spanish. My previous tutoring experience: 2017/2020: I worked for three years in a tutoring institution in Geneva (called ARA) - where I was mainly teaching French, mathematics and English. During this time I also worked for two years in a Private School (Florimont), where I was taking care of different classes of students (11-16 years old). I was responsible for helping out the students with their homework (in various subjects). 2021 Through Apprentus and other websites, I helped several younger students (5-15 years old) with improving their skills (notably in maths and french). Since September 2021 I am currently working with "bijlesthuis", a dutch tutoring institution. My students are adults who are seeking to improve their levels in french, dutch and english. In parallel, I am also giving french classes to other students through apprentus. I can teach in French, Dutch and English. I love teaching and helping students with progressing and learning new skills. I am a flexible, calm and positive person! Looking forward to meeting you! Amelie
Private lesson in Maths - Physics with simulation and discovery of Excel
Science is an incredible discipline, without limits, to the point where it is possible to get lost in it. This course therefore proposes to work on the bases and knowledge of Maths - Physics - Chemistry and to make the link with the use of these in the real world. Understanding where and how science is used is essential to be able to learn and move forward. Being an engineering student of Arts et Métiers, I worked with sciences since small and I always had a certain facility which allowed me very quickly to explain how to advance to other people. This course also offers a rise in competence in the use of Excel which is essential for a lot of work in analysis and it is a real added value to know how to handle a minimum of Excel.
Tutoring Maths / Physics / English online or in the Amsterdam / Den Helder area
Hi! My name is Lex. I have been teaching math and physics for 3.5 years for high school in Den Helder. Since this year I am now a bachelor student mathematics at the University of Amsterdam, and am looking for a few new students to be able to supervise for tutoring. A few points that really set me apart from the rest are: - my tutoring experience, I have been giving 3.5 years of tutoring experience at many different levels - I work a lot less formally, this mainly ensures that the student is not afraid to ask questions or will feel "stupid" - I am very flexible with the times - I can explain everything in many different ways - the student can always send a whatsapp if something fails, and then I help him with that Online tutoring is certainly possible, and I also ensure that all notes that I make are forwarded so that they can be reviewed later. The best I recommend is a block of 2 hours in a row for tutoring, hereby I am sure that I can sufficiently help the student. If there are any questions, feel free to send me a message.
Mathematics and Science Tutoring at various levels
With an extensive tutoring experience in Mathematics, I aim at providing students tools for learning individually, and think critically beyond the problem at hand. I believe that in order to succeed, there has to be a combination of enjoyment and discpline, a tactic that has been extremely succesful in my previous classes. A first class graduate from BSc in Physics and Music at the University of Edinburgh, I have extensive tutoring experience for school education levels with "Tutor Doctors" in Edinburgh (recommendation from my previous employer can be supplied by request). I have also finished a "Teach Physcis" traineeship in Birmingham, were I have worked with children of various ages, from primary to high school ages.
Ehsan, Mathematics teacher, Caculus, ODEs, PDEs
I'm Ehsan Rashidi, a researcher at Utrecht University. I have PhD in Mathematical Analysis. I help students to develop a deep understanding of the core topics of Mathematical Analysis, Calculus, Differential Equations, linear programming, etc., from the primary to the university level. Through 10+ years of teaching, I have developed a sense of understanding the students' needs and accordingly devised strategies to help them through. Feel free to contact me to discuss further!
Maths, Physics, Science, Report Writing from Junior to University Level
I offer personalised tutoring to people of all ages, mainly grade schoolers, high schoolers as well as university students. As my undergraduate studies I did Electrical Engineering and Electronics at the University of Edinburgh, which I finished with 1st class honours. Therefore, I am comfortable with teaching Maths, Physics as well as other Natural Sciences necessary for A-levels or IB. Everyone can learn, but we all have different ways of learning and that's what makes us unique. Feeling lost is a natural state, which is necessary for growth. I can as well help with the application process for the UK universities. I live in Amsterdam and can teach at student's home.
Math, Physics, Baccalaureat Tutoring (Baccalaureat)
I am a friendly, easy-going and patient Fench/English speaking tutor. I'm doing a 1-year exchange at TU Delft in Mechanical engineering. I got my Baccalauréat with honors in France and I usually study at EPFL, in Switzerland. My specialties include Maths and Physics. If you feel that I would be able to assist you/your child in any way then feel free to drop me an email at any time! Si vous pensez que votre enfant à besoin d'un petit coup de pouce pour réussir son bac ou décrocher une mention en sciences, n'hésitez pas !
Physics graduate offering math and physics tutoring with 1.5+ years of tutoring experience in Amsterdam
I specialize in tutoring math and physics for high school and university students, however I am open to any age groups. Topics in Mathematics: -Foundations of Mathematics -Geometry -Algebra -Trigonometry -Precalculus -Calculus 1 -Calculus 2 -Calculus 3 (multivariable calculus) -Differential Equations* Topics in Physics: -Mechanics -Thermodynamics * -Quantum Mechanics * -Physical Optics * -Electricity and Magnetism * * For these more advanced disciplines, I request that you send me the content that I will be helping you with prior to our meeting because these are very broad disciplines and I want to ensure that my university covered the specific content so that I can provide the highest quality of education! I would also like an opportunity to brush up on these more advanced topics before our meeting so I can be of maximal help. My teaching method is walking through each individual problem with a student and asking them first how they believe they should approach the problem. I try to guide students to the answer rather than give it to them directly. I often make analogies when I teach, for example if I am tutoring calculus 3, I make parallels to content they have already mastered in calculus 1. I also try to model the problem, especially with three dimensional problems. Experience: I received a bachelor's in Physics from Northern Arizona University in 2019. I have 1.5+ years experience of tutoring calculus 3 through my university. I have taught upwards of fifty students, and have been told that I helped them achieve a better grade.
