Trusted teacher: Leon graduated from the University of Cambridge, where he read Academic Music. He studied violin and viola with Lutsia Ibragimova, David Dolan and Alexander Tumanov at the Yehudi Menuhin School, a specialist music school in the UK, and was concertmaster of the Cambridge University Orchestra. Recent projects include Tippett's 'A Child of Our Time' with Martyn Brabbins and Poulenc's 'Sinfonietta' with Jac van Steen. He now lives and works as a freelance violinist and music teacher in Helsinki. Leon is passionate about teaching violin/viola/music theory and is committed to a lifelong study of music and music pedagogy so he can share his knowledge with others. In his final years at school, he taught violin to beginners at a local primary school and, after graduating, more experienced 8-13-year-olds at a summer music camp. He has had two years' private teaching experience from a base in Cambridge. In addition, Leon has gained invaluable teaching experience from extensive informal tuition of advanced learners (conservatoire degree-level). The format of your lesson with Leon is not set in stone! He believes that a flexible teaching style is essential to cater effectively for different abilities: reaching one's own milestones always takes priority. If you are a beginner looking to play some of your favourite songs, for instance, the most effective strategy may be to learn the 'tricks' of the trade, or essentials only. However, if you are looking to develop a solid basis for more virtuosic playing, Leon's 'Russian-style' violin school background is ideally suited for rigorous instrumental training. For non-beginners, Leon is also able to offer advanced teaching: this includes help with musical interpretation, the pinpointing of technical issues and anything in-between. If in doubt, please enquire. Leon teaches music theory online. He is happy teach up to degree level in this field. Please drop him a message if you are interested!

Trusted teacher: Hello, My name is Santiago and I am offering individual and personalized virtual English classes to improve both your oral and written communication. The main focus of my classes is focused on developing fluent and structured communication of the English language either to prepare international exams, including the TOEFL and the FCE, or to be able to communicate properly in the professional field or to reinforce and maintain prior knowledge of this language. I am a graduate, graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in the USA. Having learned English as a child at the Ivy Thomas Memorial School in Uruguay, and lived a year and a half in Thailand, followed by 4 years in the USA I acquired great knowledge and fluency in the English language. In Thailand I spent a year and a half studying communication arts, which helped me, prepare for my studies in the US. I had several communication classes, learning techniques of how to speak better using not only our words but also our body to help us speak more naturally, calmly, and without getting nervous if we get stuck or forget what we wanted to say. During my career in the US, I was constantly writing essays for my classes, in addition to having to present projects in front of my teachers and classmates. At the same time, I was working at university and after graduation I worked for a year, mainly having long phone conversations with people from all over the country. Nowadays the ability to communicate in English is essential and I am going to prepare you so that you can meet your goals. It could be, studying abroad, going to live in an English-speaking country, improving your communication in the professional field, or keep practicing so as not to lose the previously acquired level. If what you are looking for is to improve your knowledge of the English language, I will help you. My methodology is simple. Each person is different and I adapt the content of my classes to the needs and interests of my students. We all learn in different ways and at different times,

# Course set-up I can help you in the preparation of italian language tests, exams or certifications in speaking or writing practice. I will guide you during your italian learning journey, focusing on a way of learning that fit your needs the most (real language use versus test preparation)! Before we set up our lectures, I will likely ask you some questions to clarify your current situation, needs and goals. If you have any weaknesses you would like to address, mention them and I will prepare for that! After every lecture, I will take notes of what we did and prepare a schedule for an eventual next lecture! If you have any suggested activity for our lectures, feel free to ask! The lecture structure is very free and customizable, depending on your needs. We will discuss more about this before scheduling our first lecture and especially during the first lecture. We will both use digital resources and digital italian textbooks to assist your learning. You don't need to obtain your own resources, but if you have some you need help with, feel free to share! Based on your needs, I will prepare some exercises that we can do together during lectures. You can also propose your own exercises and we can do them together during or in part of the lectures! Questions are always very welcomed and even encouraged, both outside and inside lectures! Being the guy that always asks stupid questions in class: there are no stupid questions. Questions that might look stupid to others could be the ones that allow you to finally grasp a concept and make everything clear. Everybody has a different learning style, and that's fine. # Lecture modality The lessons are thought to be primarly via Zoom or Google Meet. However, if you live in near Helsinki and you prefer face-to-face lectures, we can book a public room somewhere and have our lessons there! Feel free to book more than one hour in the same day, although I wouldn't recommend more than two hours of language learning in a row.

First lesson with Beltrán was very useful. For me was motivating that he was able to concentrate on the things I had wished help with even if I have many other things to correct. He behaved friendly and down to earth and I was very impressed he even had learned a few words of Finnish during his studies in Sibelius Academy. I had fun plus just the right amount of homeworks until next lesson!
