My research focused on semiconductors and materials science, and I bring that real-world scientific experience into every lesson I teach. I offer tutoring for students across various school systems in the Netherlands — including Dutch (VMBO, HAVO, VWO), IB, British (IGCSE, A-Levels), and international programs — at both secondary and early university levels. But here’s the thing: I don’t believe in just “getting through the syllabus.” I believe in making these subjects meaningful and intuitive. Whether it’s why equations really work, or how chemistry shapes the world around us, I focus on building real understanding — the kind that sticks and inspires. I love teaching. I do this because it’s genuinely exciting to help students unlock difficult concepts and feel confident. During Hans lessons, you do not only learn what the theory is or how the assignment works, but also how to apply it yourself. He does this by looking at the material in his own unique way, which gives you a better view of the theory. As a result, we both went from a 6 on average to an 8. I had my first lesson with Peirong and she helped me with pronunciations. It was great! I want to keep learning and progressing with the language. She also recommended to do exercises with a mandarin exercise book. Highly recommend Peirong to anyone learning Mandarin Chinese!

Miss Chang is a fantastic teacher who spends time preparing both her lessons and files to practice with at home. She works at a good tempo without rushing and knows how to teach a person a language without making it feel overwhelming.
