Guitarist, composer and improviser with over 25 years of experience, trained as a Musikpädagoge, I combine artistic practice with a teaching approach focused on deep musical understanding. Who the lessons are for: Intermediate and advanced musicians who want to move beyond patterns and automatisms and truly understand what they are playing. How I work: • We always start from concrete musical situations (playing, listening, improvising). • Harmony is explored through functions, tensions, modal systems, modal interchange and alterations. • Theory is treated as a practical tool, not as an abstract set of rules. • Ear training is fully integrated into the practice. • Improvisation is approached as harmonic thinking in action, with direct application to composition. First, she is an excellent musician. Second she is a patient, and an understanding teacher, who by nature is going to try to do her best to help you out. You feel confident with her and you know you are not going to be humiliated and belittled. She is there to support you. After two years of learning music with Pr Yantong Lin, I can hardly imagine how much she "enriched my life".
