Being a native Spanish speaker is not enough to be a Spanish teacher. I, however, am studying the last year of my degree, Hispanic Studies: the Spanish language and its literatures. This career allows you to choose one of three paths, and I have chosen the one dedicated to teaching Spanish to non-native speakers. Other than that, I plan to get a master's degree next year. Because of the classes I am taking at the university and for my own interest, I am up to date with the latest news My classes will last at least 1 hour. In them I plan to work on grammar, vocabulary and conversational skills with a combination of exercises, some of them, games and things more fun than what you would find in a workbook. What I focus on most is conversation, because I think it will be the most important skill for my student, but if you want to focus our attention on something else, we can do that instead! Depending on the student's level and preferences, I can teach the class in English (I have a C1) or in Spanish (as I already said, I am a native). I am very flexible with my schedules, so if you want to discuss them, send me a message and we will see what we can do. *I will only teach classes through Skype or other video call platforms.
