Trusted teacher: Hi! My name is Bart, I am 32 years old, live in Amsterdam and I'm a Dutch teacher. Having lived in several countries I know what it's like to learn a foreign language and how challenging this can be. Especially Dutch with its unusual pronunciations and unexpected structures. During our lessons, I will explain how to deal with such issues and show you that Dutch is actually quite a structured and beautiful language (although it might not always sound that way ;). INBURGERING EXAM PREPARATION -Individual - Group The inburgering exam is often considered a long and stressful undertaking. With the right guidance and teaching, this does not have to be the case. My lessons are completely focused on the exam. I will make sure that you get familiar with the structure and the logic of the exam and exam questions. Once you understand this, it will save you a lot of time. We work on the skills and knowledge you need to pass the exam to get you ready for the exam! How I teach: 1 - Your level and objective(s) At the start, we will discuss your level and objectives. This way I can efficiently give you the help that you need. 2 - Open communication I have an open way of teaching in which I encourage students to keep telling me what their difficulties are or where they would like to improve. In my experience, this saves a lot of time and also makes the lessons more fun. 3 - Simplify instead of complicate I am good at listening and understanding why students are having difficulties with certain issues. This way I can simplify the issue and teach Dutch in an easy and understandable way. 4 - Involved I am involved with my students' objectives and am constantly looking for the best and most efficient way to make progress.

Trusted teacher: Cosy private lessons for everybody I try to make my online lessons as cosy as possible. I use the video-conference system, so I can see my students and they can see me; we can talk, we make the exercises together, I explain all the grammar, and if my students have any doubt or questions, I explain it orally which I think makes it easier to be understood. It is as if we were sitting in an office side by side. The only thing we cannot do is drinking a coffee while we study. Besides the lessons, I always send some homework. I will send a book that we follow, and the rest of the material is sent by me by e-mail as well. As soon as it is possible, I advise my students to start reading books in the language they learn, and from the very beginning to start listening to the TV. It is a way of being surrounded by the language. I always insist a lot on the accent, and this helps. I have students with a perfect accent. Listening to the language also helps to open the hears to the sounds, making easier to understand. From the very beginning I also start with small conversations in each lesson. You may believe that all my students are being very successful with this kind of lessons. I have now students from all over the world. Concerning the level my students attain, ofcourse it depends on them. Together we see what your needs are and how fast you want to learn. As for the number of lessons per week, I advise that you should have at least two. Less than two is very little and you have a long break between lessons. It is bad because you don't have any contact with the language and feel that you are advancing very slowly. We can also have lessons in the weekend if that is easier for you.

Trusted teacher: Hello! I’m Mahmood and I currently live in Gouda (South-Holland). I came to The Netherlands some time ago. As an Expat I know how tough it is to learn a new language, especially the Dutch language with its tough pronunciations and sentence structures. Being an Expat I understand much better what the challenges are that other Expats needs to go through to learn Dutch I am specialized in preparing Expats and other immigrants for the Basic Civil Integration Examination (Basisexamen Inburgering). I can also teach about the Dutch social culture and History of The Netherlands. Also I teach Dutch till A2 level or to the people who like to learn Dutch as a hobby. I teach one on one as well as to Groups (I provide discount for Groups). What can I teach you? : - Read and Write in Dutch - Sound like a Native Speaker - Participate in Basic Conversations and Use Daily Phrases - Understand and Pick Up on Basic Conversations My method of teaching: i) Starting discussion At the start, we will discuss your level and objectives. This way I can efficiently give you the help that you need. ii) Open communication I have an open way of teaching in which I encourage students to keep telling me what their difficulties are or where they would like to improve. In my experience, this saves a lot of time and also makes the lessons more fun. iii) Simplify instead of complicate I am good at listening and understanding why students are having difficulties with certain issues. The thing in which I’m best is explaining complicated things in a simple way.

Bart
I enjoy very much my weekly lessons with Bart. He makes learning Dutch and its culture a fun and entertaining experience, while speaking Dutch as much as possible, using English only when really necessary. The diversity of the exercises and the fact that he alternates often between listening, speaking, reading and explaining the grammar makes it very enjoyable to learn and practice. It also helps me keep my concentration without getting bored by long repetitive exercises. Bart is super friendly and patient and he makes sure to adapt the lessons to your needs from the beginning and throughout the course. I highly recommend Bart!

Physics course / tuitions for beginners and intermediate level (Gouda)
Mahmood
I took some classes of Physics of University level from Mahmood. The problem at my University was that the teachers assume that you know everything from basics and they start teaching immediately from high level. The thing I really liked about Mahmood's classes is that he teach every high level topic by firstly explaining all the basic concepts related to them which made it very easy to understand. Also he explained each and every topic into very much detail. Therefore I can really recommend Mahmood for beginning as well as higher level classes.

Lucie
I am super happy with the lessons Lucie provides. She is very kind and patient. Lucie comes very well prepared and gives homework that challenges me. She has a very nice way of explaining things and we can also have a good laugh in between exercises!
