My focus is on the student's goals for English, short-term and long-term.
Whatever your reason for studying- be it for a better job, a 'career up' , to pass an important exam or to enjoy traveling overseas, my job is to get you to your target as quickly and enjoyably as possible. Confidence, interest level and motivation are all vital.
I do like to set a little homework-- however I will do all corrections in my own time for free so I am your 'homework partner'.

I have lived in Japan since 2000. I love the country and the people. My wife is Japanese and my 2 beautiful kids are half-Japanese. I love helping Japanese people with their English and teaching them about my culture as well as learning more about theirs.

Opleiding

BA Law and Japanese, University of London. I went to one of the top schools in Europe and I understand what an elite education means. I take this knowledge with me always.

As someone who has recently started learning Japanese I can pay particular attention to differences between Japanese and English pronunciations and potential cultural pitfalls in daily conversations.

Both beginners and advanced students are welcome. Cafe lessons are possible.
