This class is for those looking to either start painting with oil paints or to improve their technique and abilities with the use of oil paint. We will look at how to use oil paint and apply it, tips and techniques for the use of oil paint. You will learn how to mix colours, use different media to manipulate the paint and the use of different type of brushes. We will then move onto composition and specific techniques for painting both landscapes and still life.

I think one of the most important things when teaching anyone the craft of Music is to keep them interested and engaged. I have been through many different schools, tutors and teachers to come up with my own means of teaching which make sure students WANT to practice, learn and not smash their guitar into the wall when they get frustrated. I have played electric guitar for 10 years, bass for 6 years, I have been producing and recording (on Logic Pro) for 6 years, studied theory for 5 years and I am a recording artist with music on Spotify, Apple Music and Youtube. I am in my last year of completing my music degree, which I am a high ranking student scoring 1st's (almost) all round. What separates me from other teachers is my relationship with my students, my two main priorities are: 1.Making sure my student understands 2. Making sure they are interested and enthusiastic. I offer private lessons in Chemistry to school students following French, British, IB or American systems. Being a PhD-holder in Chemistry from Imperial College London, I also offer support to chemistry students at university level. Classes are delivered online via Zoom. In my classes: - I encourage asking relevant questions and I am willing to repeat explanations as much as necessary. - I use technological tools and web interfaces to provide visual support to verbal explanations, which I consider a key part of effective teaching. - I share my own, tailored, class notes and encourage the student to take notes him/herself as practice. - We solve problems and I also assign homework and correct it in the following lesson. After my classes, I share my notes with my students to help them retain the information and revise.

I can teach cello, piano and music theory /reading. I am a patient and adaptable teacher - I love teaching both adults and children alike, and focus on particular needs of each individual. I generally use Cello Time series of books for cello lessons, Music Theory in Practice for music theory, and Piano Time series for piano. But I'm open to others if you already have books that you've started on. I don't follow these books precisely, but more use them as a useful structure - adapting and moving at the student's pace.

My classes are well suited to students studying either for GCSE's or A-levels hoping to boost their grades. Having achieved an A* in these subjects in my GCSE's and A-levels I understand what is expected by the exam boards while can also empathise with the workload. My lessons are engaging, always doing my best to ensure there is never a boring lesson - being a strong believer that learning is most effective when the lesson is both fun and engaging. Lesson length and frequency can be tailored to the individual of the student. In terms of what and how I teach I always listen to what the student wants while also offering a variety of different learning techniques. Lessons will be designed to push students into achieving their full potential in the subject whilst not being overwhelming.
