Maths can be fun to learn, and it’s essential in many different fields. But sometimes the contents are abstract and difficult. I’d like to share what I have learned and the methods I have used to help more students for their maths courses/exams.

I have studied Mathematics A and B on my own after coming to the Netherlands. Then I obtained a bachelor degree in Mathematics. During my study I also worked as a teaching assistant for courses such as linear algebra and calculus.

I specialize in tutoring and preparing Chemistry, Physics, and Calculus AB+BC for the AP and also the IB exam. My goal is to improve problem solving ability of each of my students and also to increase their long term memory retention of learning materials. Mathematics is all about learning basic elements with which you can create explosions, interactions and much more desired computations. It is the heart of every science known and without it, even the text that I am writing right now would not work (recall binary numbers).
I have always been passionate about Math and during primary and high school I attended many Regional Math Olympiads where I usually won the top 5 places. During this period, I got the chance to be trained by university professors and gained knowledge of many complex math concepts at a really young age. This made it possible for me to afterward be able to explain these concepts in a brief and clear manner to my fellow students. I aspire to visualize everything with everyday life and when students see this connection, the puzzle is finally solved. We can cover all of the branches of mathematics together at the desired level and degree level. Starting from Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Probability, Trigonometry and much more, we will build that mathematic intuition in no time!

My educational journey included a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, a minor in high school, and a master's degree in mathematics with support from the National Science Foundation. During my time at the University, I was able to participate in the academic field by working as a student teacher in the mathematics laboratory and as a teaching assistant to renowned mathematics professors.

During my 5 years in online tutoring, I have taught a variety of subjects such as Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, AP BC Calculus, IB HL Math, SAT Math, and competitive courses for mathematics online, I worked hard to write an advanced mathematics curriculum and serve on textbook selection committees. I have a PhD in pure mathematics and have been working as an actuary in an insurance company for a few years. I deal with financial issues, artificial intelligence, and am very familiar with programming complex insurance risk models.

Mathematics is my passion, but I know its not for everyone. Sometimes the material is covered badly in school or at Uni, sometimes you just missed something or do not understand a concept. Whatever the reason might be, my goal is to teach you the material in such a way, that eventually you'll learn how to comprehend new concepts on your own.

During my tutoring I focus on explaining the material in an extensive fashion, so that while solving excercises you develop a connection to the concepts and ideas. Thus not learning a specific "way" of solving a problem, but rather gaining an intuition for it.

One experienced method, which might not be met with the biggest enthusiasm, is extra problems which I would like you to solve at home. I know it is an extra workload, but nothing comes for free. The excercises will be tailored to you and give you the extra needed repetition of the material.

A short note about myself: I am a masters student in pure Mathematics with focus on Algebraic Geometry and Algebraic Number Theory. I have tutored over 40 students in 6 years.
