My musical method of teaching is for all ages and involves a more natural and intuitive, (focusing more on feeling, rather than sheet music) approach giving students confidence, vocal direction and improvement! In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, you will learn fun and helpful skills/tips like vocal warm ups, breath control, body language, how to increase and decrease range, how to lose your stage fright and much more! After assessments of your goals and vocals, we will work together getting you step by step closer to success!

Hi!

I'm Christen and I'm from the United States but currently living in sunny Greece!

I am a singer and song writing and have experience performing in front of audiences, collaborating with producers, and I've worked with talented musicians.

I have been a singing tutor for about 3 years and I absolutely love helping other reach their full potential!

My approach to both singing and teaching is fun, natural, intuitive and most importantly productive.

In my classes, you will learn useful skills such as:

Jawa (1996) a Syrian oud player, singer and composer.
I was born in Aleppo, and I grew up in Damascus, Syria. I started playing music at the age of eleven. I chose the Oud as my instrument because my father used to play it everyday at home when I was young. My name is Eman, I'm a certified Voice & Speech Therapist at Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt.
Working at Demrdash Hospital & Ain Shams Specialized Hospital as a Voice & Speech Therapist.

- Vocal Nodules.
- Edema
- Cysts on the vocal cords, growths that aren't cancer.

B) Neurogenic causes: organic voice disorders that result from problems with the central or peripheral nervous system innervation to the larynx that affect functioning of the vocal mechanism, such as:
- Vocal tremor.
- Spasmodic dysphonia.
- Vocal fold paralysis.
- Vocal cord paralysis or weakness.

2- Functional causes: voice disorders that result from inefficient use of the vocal mechanism when the physical structure is normal, such as:
- Vocal fatigue.
- Muscle tension Dysphonia or Aphonia.
- Diplophonia.

Experienced teacher of Oud and oriental Arabic singing for over 11 years, I am Lebanese and currently residing in Germany. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years.

My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run. With determination and hard work, significant progress can be made in a year, allowing one to play simple melodies.
