Hello, my name is Raven! I’m a patient, creative, and encouraging tutor who helps students build confidence in English, writing, and math. I believe in creating a positive, supportive learning space where every child feels capable and excited to learn.

As a tutor for elementary through 8th-grade students, I specialize in English, writing, and math (math for elementary). I focus on helping children strengthen their reading comprehension, grammar, essay writing, and problem-solving skills. My sessions are designed to make learning engaging and approachable—whether we’re exploring a story’s deeper meaning or breaking down math concepts step by step.
I tailor each session to fit the student’s learning style, using creative strategies and hands-on practice to make lessons meaningful. My goal is to help every learner feel confident, independent, and capable of tackling new challenges.
I also believe in working cooperatively with both parents and students to adjust my tutoring approach as needs evolve. Open communication ensures that each lesson supports classroom goals while fostering personal growth and a genuine love of learning.

- Please provide the materials the child was given from the teacher over the tutoring subject, so I can review and ensure a communicative learning process between what I teach and what is being taught in class
- For essay editing (pre-grading by teacher) or review (after an essay has already been graded by the teacher), please share before the tutoring session
- Each child must have a notebook and pen/pencil for each session (if any electronics are necessary, I will notify at least 24 hours before the session
