I have lived and worked as a teacher in Japan for four years. I love teaching, helping students to fulfil their potential is very satisfying. My students say I am a calm, relaxed but serious teacher. I want my students to enjoy my lessons but I always make sure they learn something useful each time. Lessons are always a mix of grammar, vocabulary and conversation. I know English lessons in Japanese schools focus more on reading and writing and that many Japanese students are weaker at speaking and listening so I try to focus on improving these skills. I was born in England and have lived in America so British and American English are both ok. I have lots of experience teaching adults and high school kids and I also speak some Japanese so beginner students are ok too!
