About Me

I have been singing professionally on cruise ships,with touring bands and UK folk band 'Mia and the Moon' for 12 years. When I started coaching in 2012, I realised the my beginner students aswell as wanting great quality one-to-one coaching, also would love the opportunity to sing onstage and also experience making a demo in a recording studio and so I developed 'THE SINGERS CLUB'. All students taking lessons automatically become members and we have private lessons plus group workshops!

My training has been in Estill Model, Speech level singing and I have myself always received coaching and attended workshops for teachers to improve what I offer students and to top up my own coaching -keeping up to date with the latest vocal coaching styles.

The singers I love include Eva Cassidy, Florence and the Machine, Beyonce, Celine Dion, London Grammar, John Mayor, Mumford and Sons, Nina Simone, Ray Charles, and many many more...

I am keen to work with all styles - from pop to country, folk, jazz and musical theatre. I am not as well suited to those wishing to study classical - as I do not myself perform this or have as wide repertoire.

What I'm offering in my classes is not the boring and traditional way, which is too slow, boring and not always effective.
My methods always had great results on my students whether it's their first touch of the guitar's strings or they are struggling to improve their levels, or they're advanced and they want to move the next level of complex and fast pieces of music and playing like the great Al di Meola, Paco de Lucia and the great other musicians.

My name is Jason and I've been playing guitar for over ten years. I studied music at University in the UK and went on to complete a Masters in Music Composition. After finishing my studies, I turned my attention to live performance. Over the past few years I have been working primarily as a session musician and guitar tutor in and around the London area, UK. As well as teaching guitar I have performed in jazz ensembles, accompanied vocalists, hosted jam sessions and recorded with various artists whilst also occasionally working in musical theatre and improvisation projects. I now reside in Luxembourg where I teach guitar.

Although I specialise in jazz and Brazilian guitar, I teach a wide range of styles including pop, rock, blues and classical. Whether you're just starting out with guitar or you're a more experienced player, I can help guide you in the right direction with your practice. As well as teaching guitar, I offer tuition in musical theory and improvisation, as well as music composition.

I offer singing lessons without any prerequisites and without music theory. The work on the voice is carried out through the cover of songs, chosen by the student. The learning is mainly focused on voice placement, in order to help you find and release your tone, my goal being to give you all the tools so that you can sing in your own voice ;)
It is also possible for students to make home studio recordings of lessons, of a song that you would like to share on the internet, offer, etc.

Regarding musical awareness, I adapt to each young person/each group, with the aim of making children aware of sounds, rhythms and musical colors.
