My name is Emily, I am French and I recently arrived in Brussels. I am looking to share my passion through teaching.
An architect by training, I have been a professional artist for over a year.

ARTISTIC PROJECTS

2021 Integration of the artistic collective “Inov' Collab”.

2020 Creation of an artistic collective "Art-sweet-art" allowing artists to promote each other during periods of health restrictions. The objective was to invent a way to have visibility with the public other than that of exhibitions, which were then impossible.
We have therefore created an artistic catalogue with the participation of 34 artists.

2015 Master's thesis: "the pavilion" an artistic production process that addresses and aims, quite humbly, to nourish my way of thinking about moving architectural figures. The production process was born from a questioning about the fact that it is possible that one day the architect will no longer be able to produce poetic spaces.

I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen.

I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist.

I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns.

In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on.

You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns.

Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

Would you like to be able to illustrate the worlds and stories you imagine?

Do you want to learn how to create characters for a video game, animation, children's story, comic or in any format? Or would you like to be able to draw your favorite characters?

If you have those concerns, I would love to help you.

I like to focus the classes in such a way that the current drawing level of the student is not what is important. The room for improvement will always evolve. I like to take my classes towards character design, towards general things like the psychology of color and shapes, since they are assimilable and highly useful concepts, independent of the level of drawing. For this reason, my classes are aimed at all ages and drawing levels.

I also try to focus them on the preferences and tastes of each student, showing them that everything they like, they like for a reason, that nothing is left to chance and that they can also understand how to make their drawings reflect what they want to convey. Even to create your portfolios or visual information for your own project or story.

I give private classes with students from different parts of the world, so many of my classes I have been able to do in both English and French.

I studied 2D animation in France, and thanks to this training, my work has been nourished by dynamism, storytelling, expressiveness, typical of this medium, as well as the sensitivity for color and shapes that I usually use to infuse a unique style both to my original designs as well as my fanarts.
