Internationally acclaimed pianist Irina, prizewinner of the 1980 Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (Irina Petrova), with over 35 years of performing worldwide. I have taught for 20 years at the Moscow Conservatory, the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music, and Aichi University of the Arts in Japan. My students have won top prizes at major international competitions. In my piano lessons, I focus on advanced technique, musical interpretation, stylistic understanding, stage presence, and preparation for competitions and concerts. Bertalan has a Masters of Music degree, and has a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. He has been teaching piano lessons since 2012. An emerging contemporary music artist's musical style combines free jazz, film music, and world music sonorities. He is a composer of several short films, including one chosen as the best animated short film of the Manchester Film Festival. Bertalan also works with university students and directors from the Budapest Metropolitan University, HKU University of the Arts Utrecht, DSK Supinfocom International Campus, and collaborates with visual artists such as the Light Up Collective and Beeldjutters focusing on audio visual projection art. Performed improvised piano on many prominent concert stages from Budapest to the Netherlands, and plays in several jazz bands and improvised music ensembles. He composes for games, movies, theatre, and is interested in exploring any platform for creating music and developing exciting ideas. Bertalan's goal is to provide piano lessons that offer the opportunity to enjoy music while playing it, and to have fun throughout the learning process.

I have a musical degree in Jazz Composition and have been playing multiple instruments for 10 years. I offer lessons in music theory with a strong emphasis on improvisation. The instrument used for the classes would be a keyboard but the learnings can be applied to any instrument you already play. I can help with critical listening, ear training, solo building and many other practical skills. Any theoretical concept is taught based on the needs of the student and to serve the purpose of their own way of self expression. I also offer Ableton Live tutoring for whom is interested in musical production and composing.

Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.
