I’m a professional musician based in Richmond with over 20 years of experience teaching and performing. I offer private one to one lessons in piano, violin, cello, and double bass to students of all ages and all levels, from complete beginners to advanced players.

Lessons are supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s goals, whether that’s building confidence, developing solid technique, or making steady progress over time. Teaching takes place at my private studio in Richmond, with plenty of parking available. I’m fully DBS checked and have an excellent track record, with consistently strong exam results.

I look for reliable students who are able to commit to regular lessons, generally following school terms for younger students. Adult lessons can be more flexible and personalised, with a reasonable level of ongoing commitment. The first lesson is always a trial, and lesson structure, payments, and notice periods are explained clearly at the end of that session.

Limited spaces are available for the new term starting 23rd February.

You will receive professional one-to-one cello lessons. I am going to show you how to play the cello, how to create a beautiful sound and practice technically difficult parts. You will play several pieces, at first easy and from time to time more difficult and virtuoso.
I am focussing on conveying the joy of music and responding to the individual needs of my students.

I am a vastly experienced violinist and composer with a Masters Degree from the prestigious Lucerne Hochschule - Musik in Switzerland and Postgraduate Degree from Trinity Laban in London. I structure the class around three different aspects:
* addressing technical issues - intonation, bow technique and sound quality, posture
