    About Me

Hi everyone! Gamze is speaking :)
I was born and raised in Istanbul.Passionate about math and teaching since when I was 15.I was teaching to my friends when they have exams and seriously this helped me a lot to understand that I love to explain someting to someone and see the light after. I have been tutoring and teaching for 8 years in various settings – tutoring small and large groups, private individual tutoring, and teaching in rural, suburban, and urban classroom, home settings and online.

    Education

For those of you who wants to know more about my background, here are my credentials:

Bachelors degree in maths from Istanbul University, 2014.
Bachelors degree in Business from Anadolu University,2017.
Masters degree in maths from Milano University,2019.

    Experience / Qualifications

Worked as a private tutor for exam preparation and some preperation centers.
I am currently employed as a math coordinator at an international school in Istanbul. And teaching SAT Exam preparation and AP Calculus both AB and BC.I can teach IB& American and British Curriculum.
I think that the logic of private lessons should be tailored to the individual. Therefore, I aim to make it a much more productive lesson thanks to the road map and proficiency tests to be drawn in the first lesson.Together with that you will closely controlled by me via chat platform. So that if you have any questions outside of the lesson you can ask and I will remind you homeworks and etc.I am definitely here to support you!!
Course Description: The SAT Prep course concentrates on SAT reading, vocabulary and writing skills along with math practice. The course includes practice in taking the SAT test, as well as strategies for the question types (sentence completion, vocabulary, critical reading, and writing – finding errors / revision). In the Spring Semester, the course will focus on the new SAT test, using Kaplan,Pearson,Black Book, Khan Academy online, and classroom reading, vocabulary, grammar lessons and practice tests. Reading The goal for reading in this class is to read college level material closely and critically in order to answer difficult questions about the text. The Reading Section for the SAT requires students to answer evidence-based questions about a challenging reading selection in a timed setting. The class will prepare and practice for these reading passages and questions. Writing The goal for writing in this class is to prepare for the optional essay section on the new SAT which will be required by some colleges. Learning to plan and respond in writing quickly will help students on the SAT Writing test as well as other exams with writing including AP exams, college exams, SAT subject tests, etc. The new essay is an analysis essay based on a piece of text, so we will discuss and practice writing literary and rhetorical analysis. Math The goal for math in this class is to practice the types of questions asked on the SAT test and to learn how to avoid the most common mistakes.

Mathematics (Applied Math, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Geometry, IBM Exams, Entrance Exams): Primary/High School/Bachelor/Master Students
Mathematics is all about learning basic elements with which you can create explosions, interactions and much more desired computations. It is the heart of every science known and without it, even the text that I am writing right now would not work (recall binary numbers). I have always been passionate about Math and during primary and high school I attended many Regional Math Olympiads where I usually won the top 5 places. During this period, I got the chance to be trained by university professors and gained knowledge of many complex math concepts at a really young age. This made it possible for me to afterward be able to explain these concepts in a brief and clear manner to my fellow students. I aspire to visualize everything with everyday life and when students see this connection, the puzzle is finally solved. We can cover all of the branches of mathematics together at the desired level and degree level. Starting from Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Probability, Trigonometry and much more, we will build that mathematic intuition in no time!

University Mathematics (Algebra, Calculus, Analysis, Number Theory, Linear Algebra,...)
You are a university student and have trouble with your math courses? Don't fret, I'm here to help! It doesn't matter whether you are a math student or from a different major, whether you are from an applied background or struggle with pure maths - the lessons will only cover what you need. Mathematics has a lot to do with practice and getting familiar with the way of thinking logically. With my help and guidance, I am sure you will become confident in solving problems and understanding mathematical concepts. The lessons will be tailored to your needs and their structure depends highly on you: usually it is a mixture of repeating the content, solving exercises together, summarising important concepts and talking about exercises you tried yourself at home. The topics, content, pace and methods of learning will be adjusted to your needs, ensuring that you get the most out of my lessons. Besides the lessons, you will get "homework" to work on to strengthen your skills and independent working. Topics include, but are not limited to: -Linear Algebra -Calculus -Trigonometry -Geometry -Set Theory and Metrics -Analysis -Algebra -Numerical Analysis -Number Theory -Probability -Logic and Proofs -Galois Theory If you have another topic in mind that you really need help with, just send me a message! Whether you need someone that explains the concepts to you or just someone to practice exercises with - I am sure I can help you. You have an exam soon and want to review the main topics? No problem! You have a very specific problem, question or topic that you need help with? I'm here to answer any questions! The most important part of my lessons is, however, to ensure a safe and comfortable environment - I have no issue with explaining the same concept over and over again until I am convinced that you have understood it. It is important to me that you feel comfortable in asking any questions - I want to show you, that Math is more than a subject and that it can be fun!

"Maths on tips" in easy ways for beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels
Maths is a subject that requires clarity of concepts. Sometimes it happens that our basic concepts are not clear thats why we are not able to solve questions efficiently. I'll be discussing with you where exactly you are, will come to your level, and then take you up with me from there. I am a teacher with whom you can ask any basic silly concept to any complex one. COURSE OUTLINE: * Foundation of Mathematics * Basic concepts in Mathematics * Algebra and Trigonometry * Elementary statistics * Modern Geometry * Calculus * Differential Equations This is an outline of the course. Apart from this, if you have any doubt on any particular topic, you can obviously clear that concept with me. Let's start and make it fun.
