I attach a lot of importance to working on the voice in a healthy way.
My main goal is to share my experience in a way that will allow students not only to learn about their voice, but also to enjoy the time they spend learning music.

I am currently a final year master's student in piano at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. I also study opera singing at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp. I also graduated from the Luxembourg Conservatory in Musical Training Teaching Methodology. Teaching is for me a very important part of being a musician, which is why I have been teaching for several years in Brussels, but also in Luxembourg, and now in Antwerp. Individual lessons are the best way to get to know the student and the teaching methods that suit them best.

Student at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel since 2020, currently in master 2 in piano. I also study singing at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp and have a music training teaching diploma since 2022

I have been teaching singing in all styles for more than 5 years, both privately and in an academy, and I am also active as a vocal coach in musicals and other musical performances.

I graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp for classical singing and later specialized in Italy and Portugal. Even though I am classically trained; I have also played in musicals and sing in various ensembles where pop/light music is central. One certainly does not have to exclude the other!

I finished my classical vocal studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp and later continued my training in Italy and Portugal. In my lessons, you will learn the belcanto technique, which I studied for many years myself. I am a professional soprano, singing in opera theaters and concerthalls around the world. Hi!

Have you always wanted to learn to sing?
Is your voice getting tired after singing (alone or in a choir)?
Do you want to be better at singing?

Do you sing in a choir and need extra help putting together the material in between rehearsals?

I love passing on the knowledge of my craft. The mechanics of the voice is such a small and intricate thing, and knowing what goes inside our throat and body is a very special experience. I get excited and moved every time a student achieves a new skill, and takes another step towards a deeper understanding of their voice.
On top of my experience as a singer and a teacher, I have a degree in linguistics. That allows me to know exactly what has to be done inside your throat and mouth in order to produce a specific sound. I can therefore adapt to each student: if they have an analytic mind, I can explain what goes on inside and what should be done to improve that. If they have an instinctive mind, I can help with metaphor in order to help the phonation. Or both! My method is multi-faceted because each voice is unique, and it is my job to adapt, and not the contrary.

How does a lesson work?
The first time we meet, we will talk about your journey in the music world. What have you done yet music wise, what artists and genres inspire you, what are your goals. Then we will do what we do in every regular lesson: I will direct you during some warming-up exercises, that include vocal technique work (if you have already warmed up, we just do a few exercises about technique), and then we will work on whatever you want. I ask my students to always come with at least one piece of music they want to work on (or maybe two, depends on the time we have on hands).

My name is Ella, I’m a professional jazz singer. I have a degree in teaching, and have years of experience in teaching and coaching singers. I’m constantly looking to deepen my knowledge, and I’m currently studying new techniques focused on voice anatomy.

In my coaching sessions I focus mostly on vocal techniques such as:

-Full voice (chest voice)
-Stiff voice (head voice)
-Twang
-The use of jaw and tongue
-Control of the velum (soft palette)
-Anchoring (support)
-Larynx

In my view, these techniques are like colors in your palette, when you master them, you can decide when and where you want to use them. Your sound should always be a choice, not a way to hide what you can't do (yet).

This course is meant for intermediate to advanced singers.
Courses take place in Anderlecht, at walking distance from Brussels South station.

Hi!

I'm Caitlin and I've been on stage for 8 years with different projects. In addition to being a front singer with my own band BLOND, I am also a backing vocalist and bassist with BLUAI and Judith Kiddo, among others.

I've been singing all my life and there's nothing I like more. In all those years, I have encountered various problems on my path and had to recruit technology. As a musical actress I know that singing is something you can learn!
