Trusted teacher: Hello! 👋 My name is Rafael and I’m from Portugal! :) I would love to help you on this adventure of learning the Portuguese language. I’m fluent in teaching both bacalhau Portuguese and caipirinha Portuguese (PT & BR). I’m deeply involved with both cultures. My classes are tailored to meet the needs of my students. I have the experience and skills to offer conversation lessons and/or more structured classes focused on grammar. Whatever your reason for seeking Portuguese lessons, I’m here to listen and help you in any way I can. FYI: I’m also a musician, so we can chat a lot about music or even incorporate it into our Portuguese lessons. Have you ever wanted to analyze the lyrics of Bossa Nova or Fado? If you love Brazilian or Portuguese music, we can definitely use it as class material. I have been teaching at the Una Paloma Blanca language school in Rotterdam since 2020. Here, I had the chance to really develop my teaching craft, working with many different students, each with their own needs and reasons for learning Portuguese. I had the opportunity to teach both European and Brazilian Portuguese to individual and group classes. In addition to this work, I also provided private lessons to some students who needed preparation before moving to Brazil or Portugal. In my classes, we set personal goals, and I help you with all the knowledge and experience I have. My lessons are balanced with a good amount of conversation practice, grammar and exercises. So, you want to learn Portuguese, but you’re still not sure if I’m the right person to help? I would be delighted to do a lesson so we can introduce ourselves and discuss how I can assist you! Let me show you how I can be a fun and efficient Portuguese tutor! :) Thank you for your attention, and I hope to see you in class! Rafael

Trusted teacher: Hello there, ever since I was a teenager I have always admired musicians in small and gigantic stages alike, and have wondered how such marvelous magic could possibly be created from their fingertips. If you are reading this, then maybe you feel the same way towards the piano as I do! I can offer myself to explore with you, with my experiences coming from jazz piano playing, how it works on the piano: basic playing skills, chords and how to voice them, playing solo lines, harmonic knowledge to write your own song, learning to read a lead sheet with only melody and chords, and so many more. Here are some of the goals that you and I can work together to make it happen: 1) Learn to play your favorite tunes on piano or electric piano 2) Learn to accompany yourself while you are singing 3) Learn to play in a band setting 4) Learn to write and play your own songs 5) Learn the keyboard skills for your home production gears (i.e. MIDI keyboard controllers) 6) Learn to improvise on the piano Now, a little bit about myself; the moment I decided that I should try for music came much later compared to my colleagues. I started very late, and thus had to come up with methods of teaching myself fast and efficiently. And I believe that my own experiences coming from the struggles I've had could be of help to you, to understand the task at the hand better and to come up with plans on how to handle them. Still, at the end of the day, progress by itself would be not our ultimate goal; it would be to have fun sitting in front of the piano! If you are interested, hit me up!

Trusted teacher: Guitarist, singer, poet, composer, performer ... and with 20 years of teaching experience, I am happy to share my experience and my know-how: both from a technical point of view (musical knowledge, instrumental or vocal technique ...) than from a more global point of view: expressiveness, body awareness, confidence, creativity ... What interests me above all is to guide you towards more relaxation and confidence as well as autonomy with his or her instruments, to accompany his curiosity, to develop his musical sense and give him the means to go towards the music (s) that attract him. I like to work from what touches you: welcome to those who know what pieces they dream of playing, what style they like!!... instrumental technique and music are learned all the better through what we like (starting from learning a piece to learn a rhythm, reading new notes, knowing more about a style of music, the form of music, etc.) VOICE RATING I propose : - singing lessons: whatever the repertoire targeted, become aware of your body and the vocal gesture, through vocal and body games bring more naturalness and at the same time more control with your own voice; - vocal and psycho-bodily coaching: specific training aimed at building confidence with one's own voice and expression; I also support in the preparation of concert or recording: mastery of voice and breath (!), Interpretation, pronunciation, staging; VERSATILITY and CREATIVITY! I support all projects that need a guitar AND a voice: - do you want to sing along? I teach what is missing in guitar, what is missing in vocals and I have a toolbox today full to facilitate the coordination of the two! - do you want to compose, write songs, or do you have texts but not the chords, you have the melodies but not the words? ... Do you feel stuck in some part of the process? I can help you unwind the thread of your creativity, better understand your gestures, your "dough", find new paths etc ...

Trusted teacher: Graduate in Performing Arts from TAI University Graduate in Psychology with a Master’s in Music Therapy from UNED Specialized jazz studies at Berklee College of Music and Escuela de Música Creativa Studies in singing styles and vocal physiology at Nina Academia Vocal recovery training with LaxVox at Aurea Speech Therapy Clinic I have been studying opera and classical singing since the age of 12, as well as jazz, choral, and musical theater singing. I have been performing in musicals since 2015. These studies have given me a wealth of tools to adapt to what each student needs and wants, because the most important thing is that we never stop enjoying music. My classes are based on three core principles. The first is having a clear method, rooted in the real functioning of the voice—its physiology (what science tells us about how we use the body to sing)—and applicable to anyone, step by step, with logic. I always prioritize the student’s vocal health and rely on scientifically proven methods. I use simple language, without unnecessary technicalities, so everything is easy to understand and makes sense. The second is the emotional and psychological aspect. For me, connecting with the person in front of me is essential—understanding how they think, how they perceive themselves, what blocks them, and what motivates them. This way, I can adapt the classes to their personality and goals. I try to create a relaxed environment based on respect, trust, and a little humor, where everyone feels free and comfortable. We aren’t all born with the voice we wish we had, but we can all develop what we do have—and on that journey, singing becomes a way to know and accept yourself better. And the third is the dedication and professionalism with which I approach this work, which I am truly passionate about. All classes are divided into a warm-up and vocalization section, followed by work on a chosen piece suited to the student’s level and preferred style. Regardless of style or level, a foundation in classical singing will always be established.

Trusted teacher: I teach and research math at Basel University. I offer math lessons at my place or at your place, the target audience is mainly first and second year university students in math or engineering. I am also considering other requests. Experience: -Many private lessons of all ages and for a long time. -Assistanat analysis I and II for the engineering section and the maths section (so I did some exercise sheets, course reminders or some points, and the work of "tutor" at the epfl, ie the help during exercise sessions). (Several years in a row). - Assistantship in more advanced courses, for example "Sobolev spaces and elliptic PDE" (Master course), functional analysis II (master course), Dynamics and bifurcation (3rd year of License) -Prof at the University of Basel for a number of courses, undergraduate and graduate (Fourier analysis, algebra, analysis, partial differential equations, etc.) My CV: -Ranked in the Mathematics Olympiad at the age of 15 -Prepa (French system) to Louis Le Grand in Paris. -Diploma of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (License and master, maths / info) -Diploma of Oxford University (Master, Maths) -Thesis at the epfl Most: -I know very well the students of this age, the requirements as well as the program. In 2016/2017 I was assistant in charge of the engineering analysis course at EPFL, and the student analysis course in mathematics at EPFL (second semester). In 2017/2018, I was responsible for the two analysis courses (first and second semester) of students in mathematics at EPFL. I am responsible in 2018/2019 for the third year course "Sobolev spaces and elliptic partial differential equations". As a young person, I am aware of the difficulties encountered by students (concerning programs but also stress, and the difficulty of passing an exam). I also see students during exercise sessions as well as individually in my office for questions about the course etc. -I am aware of the requirements of the program, which is expected in these streams since I am responsible for the worksheets and exam correction. I took part in the writing of the exams for students studying engineering and mathematics and decided the scale. (followed by a consultation with teachers and other assistants for the courses with a large number of students, eg 180 for mechanical engineers). I would like to point out that these courses are not necessarily reserved for students in difficulty.

I highly recommend Sarah-Anne as a piano instructor. She is incredibly warm and friendly, creating a comfortable and encouraging learning environment. Her teaching style is perfectly paced—she really understands the needs and abilities of the student, tailoring lessons to suit them. She's always available to offer extra guidance, and her explanations are clear and helpful. Sanghee

I already had a few lessons with Sanghee and I can definitely recommend her! Her patient and interactive teaching style work very well together with her well planned, organized lessons and her nice personality. Her classes are completely in Korean so that in itself teaches you a lot and will improve your speaking abilities immediately, especially if speaking in Korean is still difficult for you. If you don't understand something she of course will switch to English. The homework also keeps my study drive going and I already have the feeling that I can express myself better in Korean. :)

She always comes with an infallible lesson plan directed to engage even the most distracted student. Through her different activities, she paces the lesson just right and makes it very lively. She puts a lot of thought into the tailored material that she delivers with great clarity. Summer is also very kind, flexilbe and supportive.
