Are you looking for an experienced instrumental teacher to inspire you or your child with their musical learning? As a passionate multi-instrumentalist, and specialist in lower strings and world music percussion, I have a wide range of instrumental lessons on offer for all! With 20 years of instrumental teaching behind me, working for schools, music services and community bands, as well as privately on a one-on-one basis, I can provide a bespoke program of learning to inspire and direct ones instrumental journey. I have a vast experience working with children and adults of all ages and standards, from pre-school aged children starting at beginner level (cello and flute), to adult aged students working at advanced level (double base and samba percussion). I am keen to program structured lessons around the pupils needs enable to maximise technical progress, prioritise learning through enjoyment and explore individual creative minds. Person centred learning is at the forefront of my approach to teaching and lesson direction. Trusted teacher: During my one to one singing sessions I work with the individual needs of the student and determine what learning approach would best suit them. I have some keen singers and we enjoy singing together and working on favourites for small performances. I also teach guitar in line with the type of music that the student most enjoys and is motivated to play. With my younger students basic action songs and nursery rhymes can form a large part of the sessions, if they enjoy movement and joining in.
