Physics and Math (high school, gymnasium, university exams)Translate this text using Google Translate.

I am a PhD physicist and teacher known for being able to explain the most complex topics in the simplest way, from Newton's laws to the high-school student, to quantum physics to the university student. Teaching focus: - Fundamental theory: most difficulty in solving exam problems does not come from the complexity of the problem but from the student not being comfortable with the theory. - Problem solving: breaking a question down into its simplest parts, visualising the physics involved. Format: - Lessons at my home where I have a whiteboard and desk set up for teaching - Online via Google meet - Lessons at the student home (depending on distance, possible surcharge) Exams: Any pre-university examination, including Matura, PAM, IB, A-levels. The type of exam is not as important as the topics being studied. What students say: - "I had to repeat the first semester of medical school because of physics, and after working with Ralph, physics actually became one of my best subjects. He explained the theory incredibly clearly and went through the exercises step by step. I could ask questions at any time, and I was also able to decide what pace we wanted to work at during our lessons." (Helena, UZH student) Personal accomplishments: - Gold medalist at the International Astronomy Olympiad (Beijing 2005) - Lecturer at ETH Zurich 2020-2024 - Phd in Theoretical Physics, University of Bristol - B.Tech. in Engineering Physics, IIT Bombay

Maths and physics for all levels (IB, IGCSE, university) with an ETH Zurich maths master's student (EN/FR)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Maths and physics for all levels (IB, IGCSE, university) with an ETH Zurich maths master's student (EN/FR)Translate this text using Google Translate.

IN : I teach all levels, from secondary school through university, mainly in maths and physics. I'm currently doing a master's in the Mathematics Department at ETH Zürich, after a bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering from TU Delft (Netherlands). Lessons taught in English or French only. I prepare students for international curricula: IB (Maths AA/AI, both HL and SL), IGCSE and A-Levels, as taught at Zurich's international schools (ZIS, ICS, SIS, Lycée Français, and others), as well as the French baccalaureate (maths and physics-chemistry specialisms). At university level, I help with engineering maths (Calculus 1 & 2, differential equations, linear algebra) along with statics and dynamics, subjects I covered extensively during my degree, including for ETH and UZH students following courses taught in English. Depending on what's needed, I can introduce new concepts, consolidate material already covered in class, or prepare for exams through mock tests and past papers under real conditions. I adapt to each student's learning style to make sessions as effective as possible. FR : I teach at all levels, from secondary school to university, mainly in mathematics and physics. Hey! Are you looking for a young, approachable yet meticulous tutor in Computer Science or Mathematics? Then I believe I might be the tutor for you! I offer lessons in the aforementioned subjects (English only) for high-school and bachelor students at the start of their studies. A little bit about me: My name is Bozhidar and I am a MSc Data Science student at ETH Zuerich. Last year, I completed my bachelor's in Computer Science at TU Delft (the #1 technical university in the Netherlands) with distinction. I was a teaching assistant for 10 courses during my stay at the university. Additionally, I have given private lessons to a few high school and bachelor's students, so I believe I have accumulated enough experience with guiding and tutoring students across different disciplines. I have found out that I enjoy teaching a lot, so that is why I am here - to help you and myself! My expertise: During my high school years, I won tens of awards and scholarships for achievements in Mathematics and Computer Science. I also won my high school's recognition award which is given to one student every year for distinctive results. I've helped high-school and university peers with exam preparation, taught whole courses privately, prepared sample exams, and reviewed and graded real ones. Regarding the university courses I have experience in, I have taught: - Object-Oriented Programming - Reasoning & Logic - Computer Organisation - Algorithms and Data Structures - Web and Database Technologies - Calculus - Information & Data Management - Automata, Computability and Complexity - Concepts of Programming Languages - Computational Intelligence Here are some of the reviews I have received as a teaching assistant: Overall: 4.97/5 (70 reviews) 5/5 - "Great job! Piano lessons for children - at student's or teacher's locationTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Piano lessons for children - at student's or teacher's locationTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I have 10 years of experience in being a music instructor. That's not only piano lessons, it's also a theory of music, history of music, and vocal and orchestral projects. I've worked with students from all around the world - most of them attended the American School of Warsaw and the British School of Warsaw. The idea is not only to teach how to play the right notes and to know the main composers, but I also want my students to feel the music, to be able to find out what the idea of an art piece is. It is also very important for me to encourage a child to find his own style of playing. From my point of view, there are no people deaf to music, just people who aren’t acquainted with music, till now! It is well known that music classes are not only pleasant but as well music classes are very helpful and important in a child’s education and development. Kids who play instruments learn languages faster and more productively, focus better, and it has been shown to perform better in math and science. My own experience and that of my students show me that music has a positive effect on a student's overall education results. Moreover, music is not just an art, it is the language of the soul, waiting to speak for your child's feelings and moods.

Music Composition, Music Theory, Solfege and Improvisation.Translate this text using Google Translate.

Music Composition, Music Theory, Solfege and Improvisation.Translate this text using Google Translate.

I specialized in contemporary music composition in Bucharest, Birmingham and Paris having finished with honors my Bachelor, my Master and my Doctorate degree in this field. I also have a pedagogical degree and 2 years of experience in which I taught music composition, musical forms, poliphony, orchestration, music theory and solfege at the National University of Music from Bucharest. In 2022 I finished a 2nd Master's Degree in Film Music Composition at the ZHdK. This class is for both beginners who want to compose music as a hobby and to aspiring professional composers. The main topic of my doctoral thesis was the compositional idea and the processes involved in the creative undertakings. How does one reach the final stage of a composition from just a few ideas? How can we improve this endeavour? What strategies and techniques are needed in order to do that? The class will be customized for each student so in order to achieve a certain objective in music composition the lessons can include elements of music theory, harmony, poliphony, orchestration, improvisation, music notation (Finale & Dorico) and music production (StudioOne). Although solfege and improvisation are extremely useful (I dare say even indispensable) for a professional composer, they can also be means to an end for passionate music lovers. Solfege and strategies that come with it can help your singing and music sight reading. And improvisation is such a fun and relaxing activity that I think everybody should do it!

Mr. Bozhidar is really knowledgable and teaches really well. Even if the topic is a little confusing, he breaks it down and explains things in simple terms. He encourages students to try solving things by themselves first to improve logic and problem solving skills. Every question I had was answered and explained easily. Highly recommend!

I was really impressed by the lesson, Elene's style and how quickly she builds rapport. Elene is very approachable, fun and a warm person. My 4.5 year old daughter warmed up to Elene straight away and was playing along through the entire lesson. Thank you for the happy learning experience.

Maria is a fantastic teacher. She has in-depth knowledge about singing and how to control the voice. Indeed she led me through the lesson very patiently, naturally, pedagogically and professionally despite my insecurities. I loved it, and I am already looking forward to the next lessons.
