I have taught English and English as a Second Language for 7 years. I have a Master's in Teaching from Johns Hopkins University and am a Teach for America Alum. I have also written English Language Arts curriculum for two of the highest achieving school districts in the United States.
My students have earned the highest scores in the district and have always had fun while preparing for these tests.
I am able to differentiate lessons based on the student's needs and will always start at the student's current level.
I will almost always assign homework to ensure that the student is practicing throughout the week and the learning is not lost.
I will make the lessons fun and engaging in order to ensure that the student enjoys the sessions and wants to continue learning the English language.

As a language lover, I am ready and motivated to teach English (from beginner to advanced) and Spanish (from beginner to intermediate) to young people with learning difficulties at this level as well as to adults who want to learn. and to improve.
Having lived 6 months in England and Spain, I am able to teach everything that local teachers have passed on to me as a language baggage. Formulating a written argument that is both succinct and coherent is a crucial skill for any discipline but it is especially useful for subjects such as english, history and politics. I believe that anybody is capable of writing well and my classes are designed to improve a student's structure, vocabulary and syntax. The class is designed for a broad range of students who may be looking for help on a particular project, application or simply want to improve their writing skills.

My classes are not overly prescriptive and I am willing to adapt my teaching methods to a student's particular needs and objectives. Ultimately, my aim is for students to develop their writing skills and become stronger communicators.

I adapt my lessons according to my student and what they wish to work on or explore further: grammar exercises, reading or pronunciation, listening comprehension.

Trained as a translator, I lived in Great Britain for seven years. I taught French as a foreign language at the University of Edinburgh. I also have several years of experience teaching English in Belgium.
I work on the 4 skills related to learning a language: reading, writing, listening, speaking.
Among other things: grammar review, vocabulary learning, conversation and pronunciation improvement.
